Chapter 20

"Anna's Doubt"

ANNA'S POV

~~On the way home

I tried my best to keep my stoic face. I never wanted Yoh and the others to see that I'm laughing so hard tears were running down my cheeks.

I wanted to but I couldn't.

I shouldn't.

I wouldn't.

But seeing them dressed like that wanted my insides laugh. I had been ceasing my laugh for awhile now that I can't help but smirk.

Remember this scene?

Flashback

"Well, news flash: I'm allowing you to wear anything besides... that uncomfortable piece of clothing. We're not in Japan anymore. It's distressing to see you two wearing that formal wear especially when the weather is too hot," (Japanese)

"If that's your wish, Anna-sama, then we will gladly comply," (Japanese)

End

As a result, they'd changed their outfits.

Then why am I trying my best to suppress my laugh?

Imagine this.

Yoh and the others are wearing different styles and colors of Hawaiian shorts. They partnered it with white shirt. Yojinbo-ichi wore sunglasses while Yojinbo-ni even had the guts to wear a summer hut.

They all look like they were going to the beach.

I only told them to get rid off their uncomfortable clothes. Not wear summer outfits.

People were sending them weird looks.

But then, I think this is too funny instead of embarrassing.

I don't mind since I'm too used with those looks anyways.

As we sauntered inside the apartment, I swear the surprised look of the apartment guard is difficult to ignore.

He's literally gawking at Yoh and the others.

~Elevator

Pressing the up button, the door opens after a span of second.

We move inside.

Yoh pressed the close button and waited for the elevator to arrive at the designated floor.

The door opens after a moment of waiting.

Once I opened the door of my room, the guard bowed behind. I bowed back before closing it.

I threw my bag onto the bed and look around the room. There was no camera in every corner of the ceiling. I presumed cameras were only installed at the lobby and the elevator.

It's good then.

Still, I need to be careful so I had to look thoroughly around the place. After I am satisfied, I stride towards the porch door and slid it.

A small cabinet-like box was located at the end of the terrace.

With one look, it was an ordinary box.

A light brown wooden box used to store random things.

In my case, it was a living thing.
