Chapter 48

"The Fate of the Twins"

***

They halted once they realised they are surrounded with the same guys who wear hawaiian shorts.

Those guys were holding guns, and those we all pointed at them. The clicks they heard were not the door, but the gun themselves.

"I knew you were following us," the guy from their left said. To Riel and Miel, they all looked identical. "Are you here to help your gangmates?"

"What...?" Miel mumbled.

What gangmates?

"Sorry to say, but their lives are now in the hands of our boss," Another said. "and so are your lives."

They gulped. What in the melons did they get into?

Another sickening click made Miel closed his eyes; what else is there to do?

"Hold on," Riel's smooth voice rang in his ears. He opened his eyes to see his younger twin looking at the man on their left side, the one who holds a small gun. Everyone of them is holding a large gun, and it's frightening to see them all pointing at you. "What do you mean when you said 'our' gangmates? We aren't part of any gangs, for your information."

"Oi, don't talk that way," mumbled Miel. "can't you see those big ass guns?"

Riel gestured for him to stay quiet, and also as though telling him he knows what he's doing. "I'm Prince Gabriel Valencio Abrera, grandson of Fransimar Abrera Sr., and if you know him, you may also know the school MiS, which is by the way, owned by my grandfather. I am the Student Council President of MiS, and I'm here because of important reasons. And do I look like I join street gangs to you?"

"Gabriel," Miel chided. "what the fuck? If you want to die, I don't care. Huwag kang mang-damay oh."

"We're not falling for that, kid," A guard with pink and violet themed hawaiian shorts told them. "what else is your reason trailing us like an obvious dog if you're not?"

"I told you, I'm the President of MiS Student council," Riel answered. Even when Miel was scared of what he's doing right now, he was amazed of Riel's calm exterior. But he knew both of them are on the same page. He saw Riel's hands trembling a little when he looked down. Maybe Riel's diplomacy is a must, if they want to live longer.

"Okay, we'll humor you," A man wearing a normal black suit said. He played his small gun on his right hand. "What is the Student Council's President of MiS doing here then? It's..." He looked at his watch. "almost midnight. A good president goes to sleep before midnight. You have plenty of works to do as well yeah?"

Riel only looked at the man with a calm demeanor.

"So, tell me," the man went on. Miel gulped when he started to walk towards them, and then he stopped just before them. He played with his gun again. "─the reason why a President and his assistantー"

"He's my twin," Riel interrupted. "not my assistant."

Miel nudged him to shut up.

The man chuckled as though he can't believe a student just interrupted him. "Your twin, happy?"

"Very."

"Gabriel," Miel whispered. "why in the melons are you sassing him? We could get killed."

"So tell me, Mr. good-looking President of MiS," The man said, before using his gun to caress it on Riel's jaw. "why are you following us in the middle of the night? Kids shouldn't follow cars, you might regret it in the end."
