You waited a moment or two after Hotch had left before you came out of the room. You were getting used to the crutches but you still wished you could just walk, normally.
"Ready for the interrogation process?" You looked up as Hotch asked you.
"Yeah, absolutely," You started hobbling to one of the interrogation rooms.
"Now, we want you to go into your sister's room first. Just ask a couple of simple questions, don't let it be demeaning," Hotch reminded you.
"But what if she doesn't say anything back, Hotch?" Morgan asked.
"Y/N's her sister. There's a good chance that she will, Morgan," Hotch replied back as he helped open the door for you. You looked at your sister who was fiddling with her fingers. She had always done that ever since you and her were 'separated'.
"Alissa," you calmly say her name but she still made no eye contact with you.
"You should already know why this is happening," Alissa said with a slight smirk on her face.
"I do," you lied, convincingly.
"Then why are you in here wantin to ask me questions?" Alissa replied. You couldn't get over the fact that she had jeopardized her job for whatever this case was.
"The FBI has a standard protocol that when we interrogate someone, we need to have all the details. Even the little bitty details," you say relaxed as you placed your crutches up against the tables.
"You're a profiler, you should already know the little bitty details," Alissa scoffed back. You were getting no where with this. You had to come up with Plan B.
You begin drumming your fingers on the table making the silenced room filled with a rhymetic beat.
After a few seconds you broke the silence that you created.
"Mr. and Mrs. Brandson," you simply say. You saw Alissa's expression drop.
"How's Michael doing, Alissa? Does he still moan my name whenever you kiss him? Doesn't it bother you that he has always liked me better then you, that he doesn't care for you. He uses you, Alissa. Ever since we were little and placed into that foster care-"
"Shut up! How could Ken be so careless and only shoot your ankle?"
You gritted your teeth in anger but chose to ignore it as you heard your sister mention her husband's name.
"I bet Ken doesn't know you sneak off and see Michael every Tuesday. You would always do anything for Michael. Oh, Michael he's so handsome. I would even help kill little kids with him just so that he'll notice me. The only reason why he wants those innocent girls dead is because he never got the attention he deserved when he was a child!" Your voice cracked at the end but you could see all the hate in your sister's eyes.
"How dare you accuse me of killing those girls!" Alissa breathed heavily. You wish you could see the team's reaction to this.
"Then who killed them, Alissa? Why is your husband trying to kill me? Why did any of this happen?" You slightly yelled back. You grimaced as you got up and hobbled back onto your crutches.
You listened to the sound your crutches made as they clicked across the floor. The door opened and you saw Hotch waiting, his arms crossed. The door closed and the team stared at you, silently.
"What?" you say in a sheepish voice as you shrugged your shoulders.
"That was a good start. I'll have you cool down before you go in and see your brother-in-law. And then I'll have them be interrogated together by you and me, personally," Hotch explained as Morgan gave J.J. a weird look.
You looked over at Reid and saw he had something on his mind.
"Reid?" You asked.
"Mr. and Mrs. Brandson were your and your sister's foster care parents, right?" Reid stumbled out.
"Yes," you stated, confused to where he was going with this.
"Do you ever recall a time when you were still being raised by them and they seemed out of whack to you?"
The silence was Reid's answer.
"What did they do to you and Michael?" Reid carefully asked you. You felt Hotch looking at you and you saw J.J. nod.
"We need an arrest warrant for Mr. and Mrs. Brandson and an team to look for Michael Brandson, their son," J.J. said into her cell phone.
