Chapter One (A New Criminal Minds x Reader)

Hey everyone! I just want to make a quick note that this is a completely new story, different from the other one that just ended! Hope you enjoy and more to come! :)

"I'm going to find him, god dammit!" You scream at your mother through your cell phone.
"He doesn't exist, YN! All those therapy appointments-"
"Was a bunch of bull shit. What about the tests the doctors took?" You say, shutting your mother down.
"I just don't want to see you get hurt is all," Your mother tried pleaded with you.
"Then let me find him," You say and ended the phone call.
"Are you alright, YN?" Your roommate, Gracie, asked you.
"Yeah, fine. I'm going to go hiking. If I'm not back by after dark, call the cops," You told Gracie, who took the last sentence as a sarcastic comment.
"I'm serious," You give a little laugh before you grabbed your backpack and a map of the state park.
"Let me go with you. I don't want-" Gracie attempted to persuade you but you didn't want to put her life in danger. Her life was already in enough danger just by living with you.
"I don't want to put you in any danger. Call this number if I'm not back by 9:30," You say as you scribbled on a notepad and left the apartment.
Danger. The thought of finding that shed out in the middle of the woods made the hair on the back of your neck stand up. You managed to escaped from a kidnapper who had kidnapped other girls in the middle of nowhere. You did your best to tune out the flashbacks but you needed them to help you remember.
The state park was about a twenty minute drive from your apartment, which didn't help at all either. You contemplated moving to the other side of the country away from Quantico, Virginia but this was home. Home, even though you went through hell and back this past year.
It was nice out, a little breeze that made the trees sway slightly back and forth. Stepping out of your car , you pull out the map and looked to your left. That was the main trail. The main trail had a series of small trails that intervened with each other that would make it possible for anyone to get lost, off track. You folded the map back up to put your hair in a ponytail so you could put on your baseball cap.
You caught sight of a man, who appeared to be in outstanding shape for his age and another man who had darker skin behind him. When they jogged past you, they were jokingly trash talking each other, making you smile. You begin out on the main trail, the forest was still a good half mile away. Looking at the map, you were taken back by surprise when a lean man knocked you to the ground.
"I am so sorry. I didn't-" You didn't allow the man to finish before you started to throw punches. The male somehow managed to miss each one before he pinned you to the ground.
"You sick bastard. What you did with all those girls-" You were intent that this was the guy that held you hostage.
"What are you talking about? I'm -" The male brushed his somewhat annoyingly long brown hair out of his face.
Before you could respond, the unknown male flipped out his badge.
"Dr. Spencer Reid, I'm with the BAU. I was just waiting for the other agents to finish up their training," Spencer said as he still had you pinned to the ground.
"Is that Reid on top of a girl?" You could hear from an ear shot the darker skinned agent was in shock.
"FBI?" You couldn't tell what tone your voice was, surprised or angry.
You let Spencer help you up and he also handed you back your map.
Without hesitation, you threw a punch at Spencer's face, taken him back from surprise.
"What the hell?" The darker skinned male walked over to you.
"At least you could have some decency to do your job," You shouted and with that you took off on the trail.
