Chapter Forty Four

"I'll send her in," Hotch told you as he gently brushed his hand against yours.
"Let's get it over with," you give a weak smile at him as he headed out the room.
You studied Strauss from inside the room. She didn't appear as cold and demeaning as every sought her as. It did bother you however; when her and Hotch chatted outside of your room for five minutes.
"Six months, Agent," Strauss said as she walked in, clutching onto her handbag.
"A six month leave? But that's-" You were cut off by Strauss.
"You need to get things figured out. We have people out there trying to kill you! I don't want another agent dead on my terms. You'll have full protection until this case is solved by your team members," Strauss strictly told you.
"This is crazy!" You exclaimed in a different language you knew Strauss didn't know.
"Whatever you might have just said, I won't let you out on the field. No if, ands, or buts, Agent," Strauss said as she started to walk towards the door.
You give an annoyed hmmph as she exited the room. A six month leave?
"Stupid protocols," you mumbled as you saw J.J entering the room.
"I'm going to keep you updated on the case, YN. Don't worry. As for now, you'll going to have full protection, as well as Julia. Anyways, she's excited to meet you," J.J said as you still looked annoyed.
"Does she know what's been going on?" You ask J.J and J.J nodded her head, causing her ponytail to sway.
"She knows that Nazar isn't a good guy. Is it alright if I bring her in?" J.J asks you.
You were about to object, but you decided that it was time to see your daughter again; even if you didn't appear to be in the best shape.
"Sure," you say as you sat up the best you could.
J.J smiled as she left the room for a brief second but came back with a smiling Julia, which almost brought tears to your eyes.
"Hi baby," you tell her through a smile as J.J helped her onto the bed, where she cuddled with you.
"I'll leave you two alone," J.J smiled as she left.
"How are you?" You give a slight laugh as tears glimmered on your eyelashes.
"I'm ok. I'm happy I get to see you again," Julia replied back as you wrapped your left arm around her.
"Me too, sweety," You say, grinning stupidly.
"I'm tired, can we go to sleep?" Julia asked softly as she nuzzled her little head into your shoulder.
"Of course," you give a short reply before dozing off, your own daughter cuddled beside you.

"We should give them some space, Hotch," Morgan told his boss outside of the hospital room.
"They look so peaceful," Garcia cooed in the back.
"We won't let anyone get through these doors, Sir," a member of SWAT team promised Hotch.
"I hope you won't. Come on, we have people to catch," Hotch said as the rest of the team followed.
