Chapter Fifty-Three

You didn't know what to wear. Were
you leaning something towards casual or more date night? Your fingers brushed the many sides of the outfits that were hanging up in your closet.
"Jennifer to the rescue," You nearly had a heart attack as JJ barged into your apartment. She clearly went the date night route.
"Ever heard of knocking?" You took a couple of seconds to get your breathing back on its regular pattern.
"Here," JJ said as she handed you a summer dress from your closet.
"Thanks," you say as you did your hair in an half up ponytail.
"Ready to be back on the team?" JJ asked you as she looked around your apartment.
"Yea, it'll be good to get back," you hurriedly change into your (favorite color) dress.
"You really need to decorate," JJ said as you walked out of the bathroom.
"I'm not much of the home style type of girl, JJ. Besides-"
"Look at you, you're going to be crushing someone's heart tonight. I'm going to scatter before Hotch shows up. I'll see you at Rossi's," JJ said and with that she was gone.
Sighing, you did notice your apartment was bare besides the stray of stuff animals you had gotten Julia. Shaking your head, you finished putting on the earrings JJ left out for you.
You jumped slightly at the sound of your phone beeping.
''Apartment 7A?'
'Yea,' you reply back to Hotch. For some reason, you couldn't stop smiling.
A few seconds later, there was a knock at your door.
"Ready?" You noticed how Hotch's lips did a slight inner smile.
"Absolutely," You say as the two of you headed out. You couldn't help but notice how Hotch's black collar shirt seemed to make his eyes stand out more then usual.
"Thank you," you say as he opened the door for you.
"You are going to love Rossi's cooking," Hotch said as he adjusted the rear view mirror.
"It sounds like he should have been a chef. It's really-"
You were slightly taken back by surprise when Aaron leaned over to kiss you. You pulled away after a couple of seconds.
"I'm sorry, but the last time we kissed, my crazy ex almost killed me," you say, feeling somewhat confused.
"Let's get to Rossi's," Aaron didn't make eye contact with you for the rest of the ride.

"About time you two showed up. Rossi's just started cooking," Garcia said as she scrambled around in high heels.
"I'm just going to add a little wine to this-"
"David, where did you get that wine?" Everyone looked at you as you almost snapped at him.
"Some guy was selling it at the local store. Cheap price for good wine," Rossi gave a confused smile.
"What store?" You were barely audible.
"What's going on, YN?" Spencer got up from the chair he was sitting in.
"What store, Rossi?" You asked again.
"The Fiesta Food Store," Rossi stayed back to you.
"Damn," you say as you picked up the familiar bottle of wine.
"I need someone's keys," You say, but everyone was looking at you like you were crazy.
"Not until you tell us what is going on," Spencer said as he folded his arms.
"I saw this bottle at the store this morning. I forgot to get my prescription at the pharmacy, which means the store closes in fifteen minutes," You told Spencer as he tossed you his keys.
"I will be right back," You say, almost running out the door.
"Do you believe her, Hotch?" JJ asked as Spencer looked like he regretted giving you his keys.
"Nope," he said as he headed out the door.
