*Time Skip to a Couple of Months*
"Are you alright, Miss?" You took out your headphones as you stopped running.
"Yea, fine thanks," You tell the guy who caught up to you while out on your normal trail run.
"You were limping a little, just wanted to make sure you were alright," and with that the guy up and left.
"God forbid," You say out loud as you flipped open your phone.
"Conference room in twenty minutes," Hotch was on the other line.
"I'm in the middle of my- Never mind, I'll be there soon," You say, defeated that you wouldn't get a quick shower in.
The park was about five minutes from the city, which meant you had fifteen minutes to spare. Sighing, you decided to call it quits on your run and started to walk back to your car. You cursed silently as you knew perfectly well that you wouldn't have time to go home and change and make it to the BAU in time. You were wearing a running tank top and running shorts that you silently thanked God were long.
You started to slow down as your leg was starting to hurt again but it was doing a lot better.
Sliding into the driver's seat, you pulled your hair out from your messy ponytail and looked in the rear view mirror. You hoped whatever Hotch wanted to talk about was quick.
The drive to the office was short and you were still five minutes early. For some reason, you started to get butterflies in your stomach.
As you made your way up the steps, you saw Hotch waiting for you by the doors. Something was up.
"What's up, Aaron?" You asked as he gave you a concerned look.
"Strauss and her advisors want to speak to you about whether or not if you should come back to the team," Hotch told you.
"It's only been five months, not the whole six months!" You hissed under your breath as your hands slightly began to shake.
"You might want to put this on," Aaron offered you his suit jacket which calmed you down a little.
"Thanks," you say as he helped you out on the jacket.
"Think about how the therapy sessions, how they've helped. Anything that has helped you improved the last five months, mention it," Hotch said as he walked you to the door where you saw Strauss and the rest of her advisor team sat around the table.
"Will you be in the room?" you asked Hotch but you already knew the answer.
"Not this time. I'll be out here after when you are done," Hotch said and with that you opened the door that could determine the rest of your future.
**********
"It's good to see you out and about, YN. I understand it's been a rough couple of months for you, but you seem to be recovering quite well," one of Strauss's advisors said.
"It's been rough, yes, but I've had a good team that helped seem the recovery to go by faster," you say as you awkwardly stood next to Strauss.
"I'm sure," Strauss gave a slight smile, "please have a seat, Agent."
You did so, trying not to smile of the scent of Aaron Hotchner around your shoulders.
"We've been keeping tabs on the improvement of your leg, YN. I understand you have a slight limp from the injuries?" Strauss questioned you.
"Yes, but I have been able to get a couple of running miles on it each day. It doesn't appear to slow me down," you replied to her as she nodded.
"The reason why we called you in on such a short notice is that we may have found a person of interest that you happen to have had a connection with in the past," Strauss said as she got a file out of her handbag.
"What does this mean exactly?" You asked her as you noticed the other advisors eyeing each other.
"We want you back on the team. But first, we want to capture Nazar Guiamen. There's been sources indicating that he's in the vicinity," Strauss said as she slid the file over to you.
Opening it, you saw security feeds of what appeared to be Nazar at gas stations, walking down streets, etc.
"That's him alright," you sigh as you close the file.
"The thing is Agent, we don't want the rest of the team involved with this. Let's just say we put this matter in your hands and your hands only," the second advisor of Strauss's said.
"Wait, hold up. You want to go back on the team but not tell them about Nazar? " You were confused as to why Strauss wouldn't let the team be involved.
"We don't want the team to get involved with such a dangerous radicle-"
"But you're willing to risk my life? Of course," you gave a little humph as you leaned back in your seat.
"Agent, if you aren't up to the task-"
"I won't sleep until Nazar's behind the bars," you tell Strauss as you stood up and took the files. You departed the room on your own terms.
"That went well," one of the advisors commented as Strauss shook her head.

"Well?" Hotch asked as he stood up.
"I'm back on the team," you tell him, but you knew he was reading your expression.
"You don't seem happy about it," Hotch raised an eyebrow as he saw the file you were holding.
"What's in the file?" Hotch asked.
"Just some papers I have to sign before I return in the morning," you told him. Lie number one, you thought silently to yourself.
"Let's get the team and we should go celebrate. I know Rossi has been dying to cook for all us," Hotch said as the two of you started to walk to the main part of the Bureau.
"I need to go home and change," you have a slight chuckle.
"Of course. I'll pick you up in a half hour," Hotch said, already planning on Rossi saying yes.
"Alright," you say as you turned around to head to your car. You couldn't help but smile like an idiot.
"Agent," Strauss said as the two of you crossed paths as you started to make your way out the building.
"Chief," you say as you headed out the doors.
