I read over the last chapter and realised I typed 17 for both in stead of 16. Jessica and Luke are both 16 in this story! Fettuusszz

Me and Luke were on our way home from the park. He had his arm lazily draped over my shoulder which made my heart flutter.

"It's so nice in Sydney." His voice was calming. Gentle. I nodded my head agreeing with his statement.

Down the road we could see our houses clearly. Luke turned to me and smirked. Before I could ask, he bolted down the street leaving me stood awkwardly.

"HEY!" I shouted trying to catch up to him. He had freakishly long legs while I had small ones which meant he was way farther than me. I tripped over making me yelp in pain. "Ow!"

Luke turned around to see me sat on the pavement holding my ankle. He ran back towards me almost tripping himself. "You ok?" He asked putting his jacket down and kneeling beside me.

"It hurts." I whined pouting. Luke leaned towards my leg to check it. I smiled and pushed him making him lose his balance and topple over. I laughed and stood up quickly running away from him. I was so close to the house when Luke caught up to me and flung me over his broad shoulder.

"You think that's funny Ross?" He asked in an amused tone. "Answer me." I couldn't help but giggle.

"No Hemmings." I said stifling a laugh. He hummed approvingly.

"Good." He said putting me down. I was stood infront of him only a few inches away from him face. Luke's ocean blue eyes twinkled and he started to lean in closer and closer. I leaned in also closing my eyes and puckering my lips. I stayed there for a few minutes before opening my eyes to see nothing in front of me. I spun around on my heel to see Luke running away from me cackling.

"LUCAS ROBERT HEMMINGS!" I yelled angrily. I ran to him and punched him lightly he pulled a fake hurt expression and rubbed his arm.

"Now you have to kiss it." He spoke sternly. I raised an eyebrow.

"No thanks blondie." I said shaking his offer off even though I wouldn't mind.

"But you want too." He said fishing out his keys from his pocket and fumbling to get the door open.

"In your dreams."

"Nah, in your dreams." He said. That cocky bastard. He finally unlocked the door and stood aside to let me pass. When I didn't walk through, Luke pushed me inside the house gently.

"Oh, I didn't know you wanted me to come in." I said embarassed. He just smiled showing off his dimples.

"Course I want you here. C'mon." He pulled me upstairs to his room. He carried me bridal style up the stairs and threw me onto the bed. "Now stay." He pointed his finger at me.

"Woof." I said unenthusiastically. He took a seat beside me and hugged me from the side. "Uh Luke?" I asked ,confused by his sudden burst of affection.

"You smell nice Ross." He said casually resting his head on my shoulder. He yawned and let go of me running a hand through his blonde hair. "Are you staying the night."

"No no, i'll just-" i started but he cut me off.

"It wasn't a question." He said seriously. My mouth dropped slightly. "Please Jess?"

"Woah. JESS? Did you just call me by my first name Hemmings?" I asked in disbelief.

"I thought it would persuade you more." He mumbled frowning. He looked down at his toes like a six year old that had just been told off. He looked adorable.

"Fine, i'll stay." I said caving in. He smiled wide and hugged me. He smelt of mint.

"I like having you around." He said pulling away. "You're interesting."

"Interesting? How?" I went to sit back on his bed. I crawled further up it and leaned my back against the head board. Luke followed. Our shoulders were touching and our legs were intertwined with eachothers. The fluttering feeling in my stomach returned. Stop it.

"Well, you just are and it's different in a good way." He said looking at me. He intertwined our hands and smiled.
"Your hand fits in mine like it's made just for me.." He sang making my giggle.

"You dork." I laughed bumping his shoulder with mine. He stuck his tongue out at me.

"A cute dork." He corrected haughtily. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the blonde. It went silence for a few minutes.

"Hey Hemmings?" I asked looking at our intertwined fingers.

"Yeah?" He asked looking at me and letting go of my hand to play with my brown hair. He attempted to knot it, but when it fell out he frowned. I stifled a laugh at his cuteness.

"Don't do that Hemmo." I warned in an amused tone. He smiled sheepishly and went back to playing with it instead of knotting it. "So uhm, why do you hate me?" He paused and turned his body to face me.

"You know, I never did." He whispered lowly. He pulled his hands away from my hair and looked at his long fingers awkwardly.

"Then why-" I began but he cut in knowing what I was going to ask.

"I didn't want to like you." He mumbled to himself more than me. "I thought that pushing you away was the best option. I thought that being mean to you would help me get rid of you, but it only made me like you more." I sat in silence listening to every single word he was saying trying to process what he was saying. "Whenever i'm around you, all my problems disappear. I feel the need to protect you. I, I really like you Ross. From day one." He confessed still staring at his hands that were placed on his lap. I kissed his cheek lightly making him turn to look at me.

"You have some balls Hemmings." I said trying to make things less serious. He chuckled at my comment before going all serious again. I gulped and decided it was time. "I, I like you too."
