Lukes P.O.V

"Urgh, baby. Finally!" Tiffany said flicking her blonde hair behind her. She pushed her body against mine and began kissing me neck roughly. I stood stiffly feeling uncomfortable with the situation. She pulled away and furrowed her eyebrows at me. "What's wrong Lukey baby?"

"Nothing." I mumbled running a hand through my hair. I walked away and sat on the beige sofa in my living room. Tiffany followed angrily. "Can you just go please?"

"What the fuck? What is the matter with you!" Tiffany yelled as she placed her hands on her hips. I looked at her and rolled my eyes. Her eyes widened "Don't tell me-"

"Get out." I spoke trying to stay calm as I put my head in my hands in shame.

"No!" She screamed making me go tone deaf.

"GET OUT!" I yelled, standing up to look at her. I punched the wall behind her. Tiffany flinched, but she didn't seem fazed at all. Not even guilt. She smirked and looked up at me with her brown eyes that i once 'fell in love' with.

"Aw, does Lukey feel guilty? Does Lukey Pookey feel bad for not finishing what he started or is it because you broke that bitch's heart? Hm Lukey?" She cooed making my jaw clench. If she wasn't a girl I would have punched her by now. "Cause the way I see it... It wasn't my fault, oh baby no. It, was, you."

"TIFFANY GET OUT AND DON'T EVER COME BACK!" I screamed having enough of her torture. She smirked and left, grabbing her purse and shoes.

I pulled at my hair frustrated and furious with myself for letting it happen. An idea clicked in my mind. Apologise. I ran to my car quickly hoping I would be able to catch her before she left for the airport. My phone began to ring and I answered it when I saw Calum's caller ID show up on my iphone screen.

"Cal, is this important because I need to go." I said getting into my car.

"Look Luke," he began, but I had no time for the whole sugar coating stuff.

"Cal just tell me. I'm gonna go to apologise to Jess before she leaves so please-"

"Jessica is in the hospital." Calum said through the phone quickly. My heart felt as though it had stopped beating and everything froze when he said that.

"She- she what?" I asked refusing to believe what he had just told me. Jess was in hospital? I hung up the phone and turned it on pulling out of the driveway. I stepped on the gas pedal trying to go as fast as I could without hurting anyone or getting caught by the police. This would be the worst time to get caught. I couldn't help but think was she in hospital because of me? I shook my head and pushed the thought away, but the guilt and pain kept returning. I blinked back the tears that were beginning to form in my eyes, trying to concentrate on the road to prevent a car crash. I suddenly remembered that I didn't get to hear which hospital she was in. I thought quickly trying to figure it out for myself. The closest hospital from our neighbour hood was Sydney Wing Hospital. I drove quickly, but carefully. I parked my car and ran inside to the front desk.

"Jessica Ross." I said out if breath to the women behind the desk.

"Are you a family member-"

"Boyfriend." I said quickly. She read out her room number. 46. I thanked her and frantically looked around, not being able to think properly. I saw a familiar face and instantly recognised Ashton from the corner of my eye. "Ashton!" I called him running to the boy as he pressed the elevator button. His eyes went wide when he saw me.

"Luke! You're here!" Ashton yelled grabbing my wrist and pulling me into the elevator.

"Ash, what happened?" I asked, worried and confused. He looked at me with a blank expression.

"Luke-" he began, but the elevator came to a hault and opened. I dashed out looking for Jessica's room. Ashton ran after me, panicking for some reason. I ignored it and kept running down the hospital hallway. "LUKE WAIT!"

I barged open the door to room 46 as soon as Ashton called out me. I ran in and saw Jessica sat up slightly in a hospital bed wearing a light blue hospital gown/dress, multiple pillows were behind her to support her weight. Various machines were hooked up to her body, trying to keep her alive and breathing. She had a cast around her arm and leg, with plastered cuts covering her body. It frightened me to see her in such a vulnerable state, but what scared me the most is the fact that her eyes were almost lifeless. Her once beautiful sparkling green eyes that you could spot from miles away, were now dull. I ran to her and held her small fragile hands in mine. I kissed it softly.

"Ross, i'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't. I love you Ross. I'm sorry." I said kissing the back of her hand repeatedly as I spoke, but even then, she didn't do anything.

"Luke, stop." Meghan said, her voice cracking and her eyes bloodshot. I ignored her and continued apologising.
Meghan grabbed my arm lightly trying to pull me away. "Luke please, get out. I-" i shrugged her arm off.

"What the hell?! I'm trying to fix things and you want me to leave!" I said angrily. Meghan looked up at the ceiling and her eyes began to water. Calum ran to her side glaring at me.

"Listen to her Luke. Just go. You'll only get hurt." Michael said, anger laced in his voice. I couldn't believe what they were saying. I ignored them.

"Leave him. Just fuckin' leave him to find out. I'm done." Meghan muttered angrily as she stormed out of the room as Calum followed. The rest of the boys stared at me and Jess with sad, sympathetic eyes. Jessica's mum sat quietly in her chair looking out of the window not wanting to look at her daughter's state.

I looked back at Jess who looked confused. She had her eyebrows furrowed and her body was tense. I took her hand in mine again, but this time she pulled it away, scared.

"Jess, i'm sorry for everything. It was stupid. I didn't mean it. Anything I said. I- i don't know how to explain, but I did something stupid before I came to Sydney. I made a stupid promise and I didn't have the balls to break it. I'm sorry for using you, i'm sorry for putting you in here, i'm sorry for always ruining your life, i'm sorry for everthing. I love you and not her. It's always been you Ross. I am deeply madly in love with you. Please. I need you Ross." I cried into her arm not caring what the other boys thought. I couldn't live without her. I looked up at her hoping she'd take me back because I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I lost her. She was my everything. I scanned her face frantically looking for any sign of emotion. I tear ran down her cheek. I tried wiping it with my thumb but she flinched making me pull away. I gulped, the uneasy feeling in my stomach growing bigger by the second. The room was silent until she spoke up for the first time since I got here. 3 words. It took just 3 words.

"Who are you?"
