Ch.9 Compass

The Wonderland girls still stood in the field not knowing where to start. Just then Bunny's face lit up.

"Wait a minute" she said "I think I have something that could help us".

She reached into her vest pocket and pulled out a golden compass.

"Isn't that Alistair's compass?" Kitty asked.

"Yes" Bunny said "Remember his mother gave it to him before she, well, disappeared".

"Oh I remember Alice" Maddie said "She was so fun to play with when we were kids".

"Poor Alistair" Lizzie said sadly "Ever since she disappeared he's been trying to find out what happened to her and where she is, but he found nothing".

"And that's why this compass is very important to him" Bunny said "Alice told him to use it to discover the undiscovered, and that's what he's been doing. But this compass can help us, we just gotta find out where north is and then we can start from there".

So she moved the compass around and watched as the arrow pointed north.

"I guess we're going this way" she said as the girls went north.

"Where are you?" Alice asked as she walked around the Hatter's tea table "Come out".

Underneath the table, little Alistair gave a small giggle as he watched his mother look for him.

"Are you underneath the table?" Alice asked as he quickly crawled out from the table just as Alice lifted the table cloth and looked under the table.

"Got yah!" she said expecting to find her son, but she saw he wasn't there.

"Huh?" she said as she got up "Now where can my little Wonderboy be huh?"

She didn't notice that Alistair was sneaking up behind her.

"I'm gonna gobble him up when I find him" she said making her voice sound scary.

"Boo!" Alistair surprised his mom.

"Ah there you are!" Alice smiled as she picked him up and spun him around as he laughed.

As he looked over his mother's shoulders, he saw his friends coming over with their parents.

"Girls!" he exclaimed as Alice put him down and he ran to his friends.

The parents watched as the 5 friends ran towards the woods where they could watch them play.

"So when are you going on your mission Alice?" Hatter asked.

"Saturday morning" she said.

"Are you sure about this Alice?" the White Rabbit asked nervously "I mean, what if you run into the Evil Queen".

"I have to take this chance rabbit" Alice said "If I can't find a way to prevent this curse it might happen in the future".

"Have you told the kids yet?" the Cheshire Cat asked.

"I'm going to, but I mean, I'm just gonna be gone for like 3 days, what could happen?"

Down south of Wonderland, there stood a dark castle that rested on a cliff over a rough flowing sea. And Courtly walked inside and entered a dark throne room. She walked towards a cloaked figure that was looking out the window into the sea.

"Sir" she said.

The figure turned around exposing his face, he wore all black and had a staff with a blue orb on top.

"Ms. Jester" he said with a little smile "Have you found Mr. Wonderland?"

"No actually, I looked for a long time but I couldn't find him, and it was getting dark so I thought I'd look tomorrow".

"Look tomorrow?' he said sarcastically as he went towards her "Look tomorrow?"

"Or I can go back to searching right now" Courtly said with a scared look.

"Now that's more like it" the man smiled "Now be gone, and the next time you come back here without him, well, you know what will happen".

Courtly held up her bravery.

"I wont let you down sir".

He gave an evil smile as she left.

As the sun went down, Alistair and Darling soon reached a little house in the woods.

"Here we are" she said as she stopped her horse.

"What place is this?" Alistair asked as they got off the horse.

"It's my little house I stay in whenever I'm in Wonderland" she said as she tied her horse to a tree.

"Are your parents worried about you being here?"

"Well" she said sadly "They must be worried, because ever since the curse happened, I've been trapped here in Wonderland".

"Trapped?"

"The curse blocked the portal between Wonderland and Ever After, including the Well of Wonder. So we've all been trapped here with no way out".

"Oh my gosh" he gasped.

"I know" she sighed "Well, come on in".

They went into the house, Alistair admired the cute little house as he sat on a couch.

"Ok I'm gonna change out of my armor" Darling said "I'll be back".

As she went into her room, Alistair looked around the house and found a photo on a shelf, he went up and saw that it was a photo of Darling with Daring and Dexter. Alistair felt sad for Darling, the curse had taken her brothers away and now she's worried she'll never see them again, just like how he's worried he'll never see his friends and his mother. Soon Darling came out from her room in her normal princess outfit.

"Ok" she said as she noticed Alistair looking at the photo "You're looking at my photo?"

"Um, yeah" he said, he saw that Darling had a sad look on her face "You really miss them don't you?"

"Of course" she said "And even though they can be overprotective of me and it gets annoying, they're still my family, and I love them".

"We'll find them" he assured as he put his hand on her shoulder "I know we will".

"You know I don't understand, you told me that the curse was lifted in Storybrooke, shouldn't that have lifted the portal too?"

"I don't know, I guess the magic wasn't powerful enough to break all of it".

Darling gave a sigh "Well then, I guess we'll just have to wait for the best".
