Ch.16 Chase

"Darling" Alistair said.

"Yeah?" she asked.

"What if we're just going farther away from where my mother is?"

Darling sighed "I don't know Alistair, I mean, I don't even know where we're going".

"Can we take a break?"

"Good idea" she agreed as they sat on a log.

"This is gonna take forever" Alistair groaned.

"That moonstone isn't glowing?"

"Nope".

Darling gave a sigh.

"Well then I'm gonna get some water from the river" she said as she got up and walked away.

Alistair sat alone on the log and rubbed his forehead with his fingers as he gave a sigh. Just then, the Red Knight that's been watching them slowly came up from behind Alistair. Alistair didn't notice the knight, but then he got a feeling that someone was behind him. So he quickly turned and grabbed the knight's wrist and threw him to the ground as he pulled out his sword and aimed it at him.

"Alistair wait!" the knight held up his hands in defense "It's me!"

He pulled off his helmet revealing his face.

"Chase Redford" he said.

Alistair suddenly remembered who he was.

"Chase?" he gasped.

"Hey" Chase said awkwardly.

"Oh man sorry about that" Alistair said as he helped Chase up.

"No it was my fault" Chase said "I shouldn't of snuck up behind you".

"K I'm back" Darling walked up with a bottle full of water as she then noticed Chase "Chase?"

"Darling?" he said.

"What are you doing here?"

"I was riding around and saw Alistair with you" he said as he turned to Alistair "How did you get here? I thought you and everyone in Ever After disappeared in the Evil Queen's curse?"

"It's a long story" Alistair said.

"Well it's good to have you back" Chase patted his shoulder "So where are you guys going?'

"We don't know actually" Alistair said "We're just walking around to see when this moonstone will glow".

He showed Chase the moonstone pendent.

"Caterpillar said that this stone will glow when I'm close to my mom".

"Alice?" Chase said.

"Yeah, turns out she's alive and somewhere in Wonderland".

"Whoa" Chase gasped.

"And so far, this stone hasn't been glowing. But we're also looking for this girl name Kate, do you know her?"

"I don't know a Kate here".

"Why doesn't anyone here know Kate?"

"Who is she?"

"She's the one who told me my mother was in Wonderland and she brought me here. But we got separated when we fell down the rabbit hole and now I don't know where she is. And we've been trying to look for her so she can help me find my mother and help us go back to Storybrooke so Darling can see her brothers".
