Ch.45 Battle

Alistair stood back as the Jabberwock crawled in front of him. The dragon then stood up and gave a roar showing it's sharp teeth as Alistair held up the Vorpal Sword. He knew this was it, this was his destiny to protect Wonderland.

"Let's see how well you'll do" the Jabberwock growled as he blew out fire at Alistair who quickly ran out of the way.

The Jabberwock then dropped to his stomach and crawled towards Alistair with his tongue slithering out it's mouth. Alistair aimed the sword at the dragon as he back away.

"What's wrong Wonderboy?" the Jabberwock snarled as slithered it's tongue out "Afraid to fight back?"

"I'm not afraid" Alistair said sternly as he used the sword to make a slice across the Jabberwock's face as it gave a loud cry.

Now mad, the Jabberwock made a fist and punched Alistair across the field. Alistair was about to get up when he saw the Jabberwock raise his foot above him, he quickly rolled away as the Jabberwock stomped it's foot into the ground missing him. Alistair quickly got up and got ready for the Jabberwock to attack.

"Come on you can do this" he whispered to himself as he tried to slice the Jabberwock's head, but the dragon kept moving.

The Jabberwock then blew out more fire as Alistair quickly ran out of the way, only to be hit by the Jabberwock's swinging tail as it hit him across the field as the sword flew out of his hand and away from him, he tried to get up and get the sword, but he was blocked by the Jabberwock. The dragon growled as Alistair backed away with a scared look. But just before the Jabberwock could attack, he felt a rock hit his head.

"Hey beast!" he heard a familiar voice called, he turned around and saw Alice.

"Remember me?" she asked as she held up the Jabberwock's tooth on her key chain.

The Jabberwock ran his tongue through the hole in his gums where his tooth used to be, the tooth that Alice knocked out years ago.

"Alice..." he growled as he headed towards her.

Alice started to run with the Jabberwock after her.

"Mom!" Alistair yelled as he got up.

He tried to go after them but they were too fast.

"Come and get me!" Alice called as the Jabberwock tried to snap her with his mouth but she quickly moved out of the way.

"Too slow!" she laughed as she jumped over a log.

"You're so weak!" she yelled as she pulled back a tree branch and let got of it as it whacked into the Jabberwock's face.

She then turned the other way and ran back the other as the Jabberwock's foot fell into a hole when he tried to grab her. Alice ran back to the field where Alistair was.

"Mom!" he gasped when he saw her.

"Well that was fun" she said.

"Where is he?"

But before she could answer, the Jabberwock entered with a roar as he headed towards them.

"Right there" she said as Alistair aimed the sword at the dragon

The Jabberwock rose his long neck above them.

"Well this just got better" he snarled "I can end both of you".

But before he could attack, he felt a sharp sting in his back, he turned around and saw that everyone else was heading towards him.

"Looks like you guys could use some help" Lizzie said.

"Well this should be fun" the Jabberwock snarled as he blew out fire towards them.

"Look out!" Darling yelled as they quickly ran out of the way.

At that point Alistair ran behind the Jabberwock and stab his tail with the sword, the Jabberwock gave a cry as he swung his tail at at Alistair knocking him down. The Jabberwock tried to grab him when Kitty started to shoot bullets from the Pepper Grinder.

"Eat pepper!" she yelled as the Jabberwock went towards her, but she disappeared before he could get her.

At that point, Darling pulled out her sword and make a slice on the Jabberwock's body. The dragon gave a cry as he turned to her.

"Not so fun now huh?" she smirked.

But the Jabberwock then made a fist and swung at her but she quickly ducked before he could punch her.

"Nice try" she smirked again, just as the Jabberwock swung his tail at her knocking her down.

But before she could get up, the Jabberwock headed towards her and blew fire at her, but Chase got in front of her and blocked the fire with his shield. After the fire stopped, Chase used his sword and swung it across the Jabberwock's face as it gave a cry. Chase quickly helped Darling up and pulled her away.

"You didn't have to help me you know" she told him.

"Yeah, but I wanted to" he smiled.

The Jabberwock then turned to face Alistair who still had the Vorpal Sword in his hand, the dragon then charged at him as he quickly ran. Alistair ran until he came upon a destroyed and abandoned building he's never seen before. He turned around and saw the Jabberwock coming closer to him, so he quickly ran up the old stairs of the building, but before he could go higher, he felt a strong clawed hand wrapped around him and pull him off the stairs as the sword slipped out of his hand and onto the stairs.

"No!" he gasped as the Jabberwock lifted him up and to his face.

The dragon then started to squeeze him, Alistair tried to gasp for air, but the Jabberwock kept squeezing him as he felt his ribs getting squeezed. Just then, Lizzie ran up to the Jabberwock and slammed the Hobby Horse onto the Jabberwock's foot, the dragon gave a loud cry of pain as he opened his hand as Alistair fell and landed on the ground. He quickly got up, picked up the sword and headed up the stairs, but Jabberwock followed. The Jabberwock swung his hand at Alistair, but he quickly duck and continued running. Everyone watched as goosebumps formed on their skin.

"Oh boy" Darling sighed with a scared look "I hope he'll be okay".

"Callooh callay" Maddie said "It's going to become a frabjous day".
