Ch.47 Hidden feelings

Everyone gasped with shock as they watched the served head of the Jabberwock fall from the tower and bounced down the stairs as it rolled down the grass and finally came to a stop in front of them.

"He did it" Darling gasped as they looked at Alistair who was still on top of the tower.

"Alistair you did it!" Bunny exclaimed with a smile.

All of a sudden Alistair felt himself staring to pass out from the blood that was coming out from his wound. He put his hand on his forehead before he collapsed to the ground.

"Alistair?" everyone gasped.

"Oh no" Kitty said with a worried look as she teleported to him.

"Alistair?" she said as she spotted his wound which made her gasped "Oh my God. Alistair?" she tried to wake him, but he didn't respond.

She felt his pulse and found that he was still breathing, but he needed help. She wrapped her arms around him and they teleported to the group.

"What happened?" Maddie asked with a worried look.

"He's badly hurt" Kitty showed them the bloody claw marks on his side as they all gasped.

"Oh no" Alice gasped nervously as she bent down near him.

She touched his forehead where she saw a small cut.

"He's still breathing" Kitty assured "But we need to get him to the Wonderland Hospital".

"Well let's go" Alice said.

Alistair was taken to the Wonderland Hospital where he was treated for his wounds. He did loose a lot of blood from scratch, but his other injuries weren't that bad. He only had some bruises and scratches, but the doctors assured everyone that he will be okay. Later that night, Alistair felt himself waking up, he saw that he was in a hospital bed with bandages on his cuts and one wrapped around his scratch.

"Alistair" he turned and saw his mother "How are you feeling?"

He saw that everyone was in his room.

"What happened?" he asked.

"You passed out from your wound" Alice said.

Alistair looked at his bandaged wound, remembering what the Jabberwock did to him.

"But you defeated the Jabberwock" Maddie said with a smile "You did it, you saved us all".

Alistair remembered using the Vorpal Sword to slice off the Jabberwock's head.

"I did didn't I?" he said with a small smile.

"We're so proud of you" Darling smiled "You really are the hero of Wonderland".

Alistair smiled feeling proud of himself, he did it, he defeated the Jabberwock and saved Wonderland and everyone. Alice gave a smile as she ran her fingers across his forehead and through his hair.

"My little Wonderboy is all grown up" she smiled "I'm so proud of you".

"Thanks mom" he smiled "Now one question, what are we gonna do about Courtly?"

"Oh I'll deal with her later" Chase said.

Alistair was later released from the hospital due to a quick healing process, but his wound did leave some scars.

"Don't worry" Lizzie said "They're barely noticeable".

"Yeah" he agreed "But hey, scars build character don't they?"

After that, everyone gathered at the Queen of Hearts castle for a party to celebrate Alice's return and Alistair's heroic battle against the Jabberwock. Alice was reunited with her Wonderland friends as Alistair hung out with his friends.

"Alistair" Lizzie said "We never actually got a chance to apologize".

"Apologize for what?" he asked.

"For acting like a bunch of bitches when we were fighting over you" Kitty said.

"Oh".

"Look" Maddie said "We really are sorry, we just got so overwhelmed that we forgot about our friendship. We don't want this love problem to destroy our friendship".

"And we're sorry we made you choose" Lizzie said "We were just pissed and jealous at each other, we did acted like a bunch of sissies".

"Can you please forgive us?" Bunny asked.

Alistair gave a small smile.

"I'm glad you girls are apologizing" he said "And of course I'll forgive all of you. But, I really do mean it when I said that I'm not ready for a relationship. I just feel that we should just stay friends".

"We understand" the girls said.

"I love you all" Alistair smiled as they all went into a group hug.

After the hug, the girls went their separate ways as Alistair watched them. But as Darling and Chase watched Alistair, they noticed that he kept his eye on Bunny with a sad look on his face, they knew something was up.

"Alistair" Darling said "Can we talk to you for a moment?"

"Um, ok" he said with an unsure look as they went onto the balcony "What is it?"

"You know I see the way you look at the girls and the way you look at Bunny" Darling said "It's not the same".

"What are you talking about?" he asked.

"You're lying" Chase said "You're lying to yourself and all of us, you know you still have feelings for Bunny".

"Uh, I think I know my own feelings Chase".

"Chase is right" Darling said "We know you're hiding you feelings".

"Look, I don't care" Alistair assured "We all decided to stay friends and that's what we'll do".

"But what about Bunny?" Chase asked "Are you just gonna keep hiding your feelings from her?"

"Look Chase, I still care about her, I care about all of them, but I just feel that I'm not ready for a relationship".

"You wanna know what I learned Alistair?" Darling asked "That when I girl is in love you can see it in her smile, but when a guy is in love you can see it in his eyes, and right now, that's what I'm seeing in your eyes".

Alistair hesitated.

"Alistair" Chase said "We know that you and the girls have been through a lot, but is this what you really want, to hide your feelings forever and never tell Bunny how you feel? You just can't keep denying it Alistair, we know you still have feelings for her, and you know it".

At that point, Alistair started to have memories about the girls. He remembered talking to Lizzie and calling her beautiful, he remembered catching Kitty when she fell off the shelf, he remembered having his first kiss with Maddie, but most of his memories were about Bunny. He remembered all the fun times he's had with her, and the more he spent with her, the more he liked her. Knowing that he was caught, he turned to Darling and Chase with a sad look.

"You can't tell anyone" he said quietly.
