(Flashback) Alistair laid on the small bed in his cell as he tossed back and forth trying to sleep, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't seem to fall asleep. Just then he heard the door unlock and an asylum worker came in with a tray containing pills, a cup of water, and a bowl of old oatmeal.
"Get up" the worker ordered "Take your medication".
Alistair gave a small groan, everyday he was forced to take unnecessary medicine for his madness even though he felt fine.
"Come on" the worker urged as Alistair got up and rubbed his face.
The worker then poured out a pill from the container and handed it to Alistair.
"Here" he said.
Alistair looked at the pill with a depressed look, not wanting to take it.
"Come on take it" the worker ordered.
But Alistair just nodded his head.
"What's the matter with you?" the worker asked annoyed "Take your medication".
"I don't need it" Alistair mumbled.
"Well the doctor says you do need it, now take it" he moved the pill closer to him.
"I don't need it I'm fine" Alistair moved the hand away.
"You wanna make this a problem kid?" the worker was getting mad.
"It's already I problem" Alistair mumbled "I don't need to take pills".
"Take it!" he shoved the pill to his face.
"No!" Alistair moved the hand away.
But at that point, the worker has had enough as he slapped Alistair across the face with all his might. Alistair put his hand on his cheek as he felt the burn from the slap.
"Lousy kid" the worker grunted as he set the pill on the tray and went out and locked the door.
Alistair looked at the tray as he rubbed his cheek, he then picked up the spoon near the bowl of oatmeal and looked at his reflection, he saw that his cheek was now red from the slap. He then burst into tears. Everyday was like torture to him, he was treated poorly and no one even cared. He wondered if he'll ever get out of this prison.
Alistair woke up from his memories of being in the asylum with a shock. He then saw that he was in the bed of a room in Lizzie's castle, remembering that he and his friends had stay over night. He sighed in relief that he wasn't in the Storybrooke asylum, but the memories still get to him.
After everyone had gotten up, they all were getting ready to leave and continue looking for Alice when Lizzie joined them with a pack of playing cards in her hands.
"You're bringing cards?" Kitty said.
"Oh these aren't ordinary cards" Lizzie said as she pulled out a card "I too happen to have a box of bladed cards".
"Really?" everyone said surprised.
"Check it out".
She aimed the card and flicked it towards the wall as the corner pierced into the wall as everyone's eyes widen.
"I am the card princess after all" she added "Plus these could come in handy, especially if we run into you know who again".
Soon everyone left the castle, planning to return later that night, and they continued their journey. And as they were walking, Alistair kept looking at the moonstone pendent that still wasn't glowing.
"Hey Alistair" Darling said "I remember this book I saw in the Wonderland Library about different types of gems and stones, maybe we can find something about moonstones".
"What's there to find?" he asked with a dull look.
"Well maybe we can find something interesting, like I learned that some stones need to be charged in order to work better, and maybe that moonstone has to be charged or something".
Alistair gave a sigh "Fine".
"Great cause we're already here" Darling pointed to the library that was in front of them.
Everyone went inside the odd library where the shelves were tospy turvy and books flew around.
"Everyone look around for the book" Darling said "I think it's titled 'Gems and Stones of Wonderland'".
Everyone started to look around for the book, some were tiny like an index card, some were large like themselves, and some were just normal sizes. Some of the books were hard to get since they were placed in high shelves and twisted ones. Like Kitty had to teleport and sit on a high shelf to look at the books.
"Kitty are you safe up there?" Alistair asked.
"Yeah" she said as she looked through the books beginning.
"You sure, cause that shelf you're sitting on seem wobbly".
"I'm fine" she assured "I've things like this all the time".
All of a sudden there was a screeching noise, and at that point the shelf Kitty was sitting on broke and she fall off, but Alistair quickly moved and was able to catch her in his arms.
"Oh" she said "Thank you".
"No problem" he said as he set her down.
They both smiled as each other as they continued to search. But as they were searching, Kitty couldn't help was look at Alistair as she felt her feelings increase.
"Hey I found it!" Darling announced as everyone went to her.
"That's great" Alistair said "So what does it say about moonstones?"
She opened the book and started to read the section about moonstones.
"It says that moonstones are one of the rarest stones in Wonderland" she read "They are also one of the most powerful stones, they give good fortune, protection, and can reunite lovers and family members who are wearing the stone. It says that when lovers or family members who are wearing the stone are near each other, the stone will glow".
"So Caterpillar was right about it glowing" Alistair concluded.
"But it says that it can reunite family members who are wearing the moonstone" Bunny put in "But I don't think I've seen Alice wear a moonstone pendent before".
"Oh man" Alistair said with disappointment "This seems a lot harder now".
"Did any of you remember if Alice was wearing a moonstone before she disappeared?" Lizzie asked.
"I don't think she was" Kitty said.
"Well how are we gonna find her now if she isn't wearing a moonstone?" Maddie asked.
"She could be right now" Chase put in.
"Yeah maybe" Alistair agreed "But I'm just gonna stick to Caterpillar's words, if he and the book says that this moonstone will glow when I'm near my mother, then I believe it".
"All right then" Darling said as she put the book "Well we better get back to searching if we're gonna find her".
Everyone then left the library, wondering if Alice was wearing a moonstone.
