Ch.44 Alice

The sound of the moonstone shattering into pieces struck everyone's ears as blue lights shot out from the stone and pushed Alistair onto the floor as he and everyone shield their eyes from the brightness. After the light went away, everyone saw a body on the floor surrounded by the shattered pieces of the moonstone, they watched as it slowly began to rise as her blonde hair draped over her face. Alistair gave a gasp as everyone's eyes widen.

"Alice?" Kitty gasped as Alice turned to her with a confused look.

"Do I know you?" she asked, she still had her English accent, and she still looked the same like she was years ago.

"It's me Kitty! Kitty Cheshire!"

Alice's eyes widen "Kitty?"

"And me Maddie" Maddie said.

"And Lizzie".

"And Bunny".

Alice was full of surprise, she then looked around and saw that pieces of the moonstone scattered around her.

"I'm free" she gasped as she got up "But, how long have I been in there?'

Behind her, Alistair had gotten up with shock in his eyes.

"10 years" Bunny said.

"10 years?!" Alice gasped.

"Yeah but, Alistair freed you" she pointed behind Alice.

Alice turned around and saw Alistair, she gave a small gasp when she saw him.

"Alistair?" she gasped.

"M-m-mom?" he said as he felt his eyes water.

Alice couldn't believe it, the last time she saw her son he was 6 years old, and now he's all grown up, like time has gone too fast. She slowly walked towards him and put her hands on his face and examined his new look, she knew it was him. Alistair was too surprised to say anything, after all these years as searching, he was now face to face with his mother. Alice then broke into tears as she pulled him into a big hug.

"You found me" she smiled as she cried tears of joy.

Alistair could feel tears come out, he did it, he found her. He then wrapped his arms around her and returned the hug. He had waited so long to get a hug from his mother, and now he got one. Everyone watched the heartwarming reunion of Alistair and his mother with smiles on their faces. After the hug, Alistair and Alice had smiles on their faces with tears in their eyes.

"Look at you" she smiled as she ran his fingers through his hair "So handsome, oh I wish I was there to watch you grow up".

"It's ok" he smiled "You're finally back".

"Alice" Darling said "Well first of all I don't believe we've met, I'm Darling Charming".

"As in King Charming?"

"Yeah, I'm his daughter".

"Well nice to meet you" Alice smiled.

"You too, but anyway, do you remember anything before you got trapped in the moonstone?"

"Well" Alice said as she started to think "I do remember meeting the Evil Queen".

"What happened?" Maddie asked.

"She told me about the curse she's been planning to put on Wonderland".

"She did" Lizzie said.

"She did?" Alice gasped.

"Yeah, but it was lifted so Wonderland is safe".

"What else did the Queen say to you?" Bunny asked.

"I remember she said that the Jabberwock would-" she stopped, she couldn't seem to finish the sentence.

"Would what?" Alistair asked.

"She said that the Jabberwock would hurt you" she said with a sad look.

Alistair gave a small gasp.

"Well the Jabberwock did try to kill him" Kitty put in as Alice's eyes widen.

"What else happened while I gone?" she asked.

"Lots of things" everyone said.

"And we mean lots of things" Maddie said.

"Ok...?" Alice said "Well, now I wanna know, where exactly are we?"

"The Jabberwock's castle" Chase said.

"The Jabberwock?" she gasped.

"Hey where is he?" Kitty asked.

Everyone saw the Jabberwock was no where in sight.

"Where did he go?" Lizzie asked "He was right here".

"Oh no" Alistair said nervously "He must of escaped".

"Well what do we do?" Maddie asked "Do we go after him?"

"Where?" Lizzie asked "We don't even know where he went".

"I do" everyone turned around and saw Courtly.

"Courtly?" Alice said.

"Well if it isn't Alice" Courtly said as she went up to them "You're finally back after all these years".

"Mom you don't wanna get near her" Alistair warned "She's working for the Jabberwock".

"Oh relax" Courtly smirked "I'm not gonna do anything to you guys anymore".

"Then what do you want?" Lizzie asked with a frown.

"Like I said, I know where the Jabberwock went, he talked to me, he said that he was going to the nearest empty field where he wants Alistair to meet him, and he looked really pissed".

Everyone looked at Alistair.

"He wants me huh?" he asked Courtly.

"Yep, and he also said that he's not done with you and he wants to finish this once and for all".

"What did he say if I don't do it?" Alistair asked.

"He said that he was going to destroy Wonderland and kill everyone you love".

Everyone gave a small gasp as they looked at Alistair with a nervous look.

"Alistair" Alice said with a scared look "You don't have to fight him".

"I have to" he said with a nervous look "If I don't he's gonna destroy Wonderland and you guys".

"But this is the Jabberwock!" Kitty exclaimed "The most feared monster of Wonderland! He'll kill you!"

"I have to take this chance Kitty! It's my duty as the next hero of Wonderland to protect our home and everyone. You all have been really helpful to me, but this is my battle".

Alice turned to him and ran her fingers across his cheek as she stared into his blue eyes.

"If you want to do this" she said "Go ahead, be the hero everyone knows you are".

"Thanks mom" he smiled.

He then headed towards the entrance.

"Alistair" Bunny called as he turned to face her "Good luck".

"Thanks" he smiled.

And with that he headed out.

"He is so screwed" Courtly sighed.

Once outside with the sun down low in the evening, Alistair ran down the hill and towards the nearest empty field. He stood in the middle of a field and pulled his sword out.

"I'm right here Jabberwock!" he called "Come and get me!"

He waited, but nothing happened. All of a sudden he heard a loud thump which shook the ground, and then he heard another thump, followed by more thumps. He could feel the thumps coming behind him, he turned around and saw the Jabberwock, now in his normal dragon form, coming up from behind the trees and staring at him with his pale white eyes.

"There you are" the Jabberwock growled.
