Ch.40 Re-memory game

That evening, everyone except Kitty was hanging out in the room Alistair was staying in while they tried to discuss an idea on where Alice could be.

"I just don't understand" Alistair said "The moonstone pendent glowed, so she had to be in there".

"Maybe she was behind something" Chase said "She could of been like behind a secret door or something".

"Maybe".

"Well what are we gonna do about the Jabberwock?" Maddie asked "He could be looking for you, even Courtly could be looking for you again".

"I don't know Maddie" Alistair sighed "I guess I just have to be extra careful".

"Now what I wanna know is why the Jabberwock wanted to kill you" Bunny said.

"I guess he knows that I'm gonna be the next hero of Wonderland and probably decided to get rid of me so that he could take over Wonderland. But the way you guys were throwing my heart around felt so weird".

"Wait" Lizzie said "You felt that?"

"Yeah, it felt really odd".

All of a sudden Kitty burst in with a look of shock on her face.

"Guys!" she exclaimed "I just remembered something!"

"What is it?" Lizzie asked.

"Oh my gosh this is huge!" Kitty exclaimed.

"Just what is it?" Alistair asked.

But before she could say it, she forgot it.

"Dammit I forgot it" she said with disappointment.

"Well don't worry" Maddie said "I know a re-memory game, so I'm gonna ask you some random questions and you say the first thing that comes to your head".

"Ok" Kitty said as she got ready.

"What do you prefer, peanut butter or chocolate?" Maddie asked.

"Chocolate" Kitty said quickly.

"Who you like more, Tailor Quick or One Reflection?"

"One Reflection".

"What do you prefer, action or comedy?"

"Action".

"What do you think of my hat?"

"It's purple"

"What did you want to tell us?"

"The staff orb glowed".

"What?" everyone said as her eyes widen.

"Oh my gosh I remember now!" she gasped.

"What do you mean the staff orb glowed?" Maddie asked.

"Well remember that staff the Jabberwock had and the blue orb on top of it? Well when I first saw it it wasn't glowing, but then it started to glow".

"Wait a minute" Bunny's eyes widen "Alistair, didn't you say that the moonstone pendent glowed the brightest in the throne room?"

"It did" Alistair said with his eyes widen "Darling, didn't you say that moonstones can re-connect family members who are wearing moonstones?"

"Yeah" Darling said.

"Then that must mean the orb on the staff is a moonstone".

"But how can it glow if it wasn't touching Alice?" Lizzie asked.

"Huh" Alistair said as everyone started to think.

Soon his face lit up.

"I think it was" he said.

"What do you mean?" Bunny asked.

"Well it had to glow cause my mother was nearby, plus it had to be touching her in order for it to glow".

"But we didn't see her" Kitty said.

"But I can feel that she was there, it was like she was right in front of me..."

Everyone gasped as their eyes widen.

"It's all starting to make sense now!" Lizzie gasped.

"Wait, then doesn't that mean that she's-" Maddie asked, but stopped when she realized it.

"Inside the moonstone!" everyone gasped.

(10 years ago) The Evil Queen held the moonstone in her hands, feeling proud to herself that she had gotten rid of Alice. She then turned to the Jabberwock and used her magic to wake him up.

"Rise and shine Jabberwock" she said as the dragon gave a yawn and stretched it's legs.

"What do you want?" he growled.

"I've got a little gift for you" the Queen held up the moonstone.

"What is that?"

"A moonstone".

"Why are you giving me a moonstone?"

"This moonstone is special, it can give you any power you want" she said with a sneaky smile.

"Really?"

"Really, plus, it has Alice inside".

"Alice?" he grinned.

"Yep, in here, where she can't escape.

The Jabberwock held out his clawed hand as the Queen placed the orb in it. He brought the moonstone to his eyes and examined it. He then gave a sneaky grin.

"So Alice wont be around?" he asked.

"Nope, but her son will".

"Her son?"

"His name is Alistair, he's 6 right now, but he will grow up to be the next hero of Wonderland, he might even have to battle you".

The Jabberwock gave a growl.

"But now that you have the moonstone, you'll be more powerful" the Queen said with a sneaky look.

"You don't say" he grinned.

"But Alistair could try to battle you, but I know a way to prevent that. It's best to do this when he's around 16 or 17, so when he's older, you can rip his heart out, and crush it".

"Crush his heart eh?" the Jabberwock said with a sneaky look.

"Yep, you can even watch him suffer".

"I do like watching people suffer".

"Well then, you can go ahead and experiment with the moonstone, but don't forgot you have to wait till Alistair's older so you can deal with him".

"Why does he have to be older for me to do it?"

"Because his heart will be bigger and full of happiness so that it will be more fun to crush it".

"I see what you mean, but I think I'll be sleeping until the time comes".

"Suit yourself, oh, one more thing, don't let the moonstone get smashed, if it gets smashed, you will loose your powers and Alice will be free, so be careful".

"Oh I will, nothing can escape me" he said with a sneaky look.

"Well in that case, I'll be going, I need to look for my Wonderland book".

The Evil Queen then made herself disappear. After she was gone, the Jabberwock looked at the moonstone as a grin spread across his face.

"Looks like you've lost Alice" he grinned.
