Ch.42 Detention

As everyone was heading to the Jabberwock's castle, Bunny saw that Alistair had a nervous look on his face.

"Alistair are you ok?" she asked.

"Oh, I'm fine" he assured "I'm just a little nervous".

"We know how you feel" Maddie said "I mean going against the Jabberwock and all-".

"Well yeah but, I'm more nervous about getting my mother back, I mean, I haven't seen her for 10 years, you think she'll remember me?"

"Of course she'll remember you" Lizzie assured "How could she forget her own son, I mean you look like her, she can't forget you".

"Yeah but being trapped inside a moonstone for 10 years with no way out, I'm just really worried about this" Alistair said nervously.

"Don't be" Kitty said "But if I were you, the only thing I'd be worried about is the Jabberwock".

All of a sudden, the card guards appeared and spread out like playing cards surrounding them in a circle.

"And you should probably worry about this too" Kitty added.

"All of you are to be escorted to Wonderland High immediately" a guard said.

"What?" everyone said.

"Is today a school day?" Chase asked.

"I think it is" Darling said.

"Oh man" Maddie whined "Just as we were about to have an epic adventure it just had to be on a school day?!"

Everyone was then escorted by the guards to Wonderland High where they saw Courtly in front of the school.

"Well did you guys miss me?" she asked with a sneaky smile.

"Courtly?!" everyone gasped.

"All right guards" she said "Thank you for bringing them to me, now I want all of them in detention, except Mr. Wonderland, I've got plans for him".

"Where's my mother?" Chase demanded.

"Your mother is on her lunch break" Courtly said with a sneaky smile "I'm in charge now".

"But-".

"Detention all of them expect Mr. Wonderland, and make sure they don't escape".

But as the guards were taking everyone away, Alistair broke free from a guards grip and stepped back.

"Alistair run!" Darling yelled as he ran.

"After him!" Courtly ordered as some of the guards went after him.

Alistair ran as fast as he could from the guards as he ran into the woods. Meanwhile, the guards shoved everyone else into the detention room and locked the door. The detention room was more like a sewer due to it's foul stench and dirty water that covered the floor. A snoring was heard as everyone turned and saw the Mock Turtle sleeping at his desk. He then woke up with a sleepy look.

"I am the Mock Turtle" he said in a sleepy voice "But please don't mock me, this is detention, there is no escape".

And with that he went back to sleeping.

"Oh man" Lizzie whined "Not this again".

"Now what do we do?" Maddie asked.

"Well there isn't a way out" Darling said "So I don't know what to do".

"But we were in here before" Kitty said "And we got out, but I don't remember how we got out though, does anyone remember how we got out?"

"Oh man" Maddie said with disappointment "It's been a while, I don't remember".
