Ch.11 A Deal

"This is taking forever" Kitty groaned as the girls continued to head north.

"We just have to keep going north" Bunny said "And hopefully we'll find Alistair, or at least someone who knows where he is".

"But why do we have to keep going north?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know Kitty" Bunny said annoyed "I'm just hoping for the best".

"Well maybe we should-".

"Guys" Lizzie cut in with a surprised look "Look".

She pointed ahead and the girls saw Courtly heading towards the woods.

"It's Courtly!" Maddie gasped in a whisper.

"Let's follow her" Lizzie suggested as they followed Courtly into the woods.

They followed her until they heard a phone ring, the girls quickly hid behind some trees as they watched Courtly pull out her card and waved it in front of her as the image of the man appeared.

"Yes sir?" she asked annoyed.

"Do you at least have any trace of Mr. Wonderland?" he asked.

"Not yet, but I'm still looking".

"Now when you find him, do you know how you're gonna bring him to me?"

"Of course, I got it all planned".

"Good, and don't forget to bring him to me alive, I want to see him suffer when I rip his heart out and crush it".

The girls almost gasped.

"I'll make sure to bring him to you alive" Courtly promised.

"Good, now get back to searching".

After the image went away, Courtly gave a mad look.

"Where the bloody hell is he?" she asked herself as she went away.

The girls couldn't believe what they just heard.

"Oh my God" Lizzie gasped "Alistair really is in danger!"

"And who was that guy?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know" Bunny said "But we have to find Alistair now before Courtly does, come on!"

The girls then set off to find Alistair.

(Flashback) After Courtly was defeated by Raven Queen after trying to steal Lizzie's destiny, she fled from Wonderland High and was never seen from again. She journeyed around Wonderland for a while until she came upon a dark castle.

"What in the name of Wonderland is this thing doing here?" she asked herself.

All of a sudden, a dragon appeared from the castle and landed in front of her. She immediately knew what the dragon was, the Jabberwock. The Jabberwock was the most feared monster in Wonderland who brought terror and nonsense all around. Years ago when Alice was around 17, she had to slay the dragon to protect Wonderland, and being the brave girl she is, she did it with the Vorpal Sword as her only weapon. Although Alice didn't manage to kill the Jabberwock, she did knock out one of it's razor teeth that is now hanging on her backpack like a key chain, she was able to survive with only a few scratches as the Jabberwock flew away and was never heard from again. Since then Alice was crowned the heroine of Wonderland, but she knew that the Jabberwock might someday return.

Courtly was paralyzed with fear as she was face to face with the Jabberwock, but before she was going to run, she watched as the Jabberwock transformed into a man wearing all black including a black cloak

"What the?" she said with a shocked look.

"You don't have to be afraid Courtly" he said.

"You know my name?"

"I know everyone's name".

"Now uh, were you always able to turn into a man?"

"I am now, but that's a long story which I don't have time to tell you. Now Ms. Jester, I know the real reason why you wanted Lizzie Hearts destiny".

"How did you know about that?"

"It's all over the Wonderland newspaper" he pulled out a newspaper from his cloak and showed her the front cover.

It talked Courtly trying to steal Lizzie's destiny and overthrow the Queen of Hearts. It even mentioned that she was 'Wanted' and there was a reward for turning her in.

"Dammit!" she cursed with frustration.

"Now I can tell that you don't want to be caught" the Jabberwock said.

"Isn't it obvious?" she asked with sarcasm.

"Well maybe I can help you".

"Help me?"

"As I was saying, I know the real reason why you wanted Lizzie's destiny, it's because you want to be part of the Wonderland story".

"Well, yeah" she agreed "I just want an important part in the story, I mean, there isn't a joker in 'Alice in Wonderland', so I'm here left without a destiny".

"Perhaps I can help you".

"How?"

"Well in order for it to happen, you have to help me first".

"Yes" she said with enthusiasm "Anything, I'll do whatever it takes to be important in the story".

"All right" the Jabberwock said with a sneaky smile "I'll I want is for you to do one thing, find Alistair Wonderland and bring him to me".

"Alistair?" Courtly said "Uh, that's gonna be a problem, you see-".

"I know about the Evil Queen's curse on Ever After High" he cut in "That's why I made this".

He held out his hand and an odd looking playing card appeared.

"This card will take you to him" he said "Don't loose it".

Courtly took the card and examined it.

"So what do you say?" he asked "Do we have a deal?"

"So if I bring you Alistair" she said "You'll make me have an important part in the story?"

"A deal, is a deal".

Courtly then gave a sneaky smile.

"All right" she said "It's a deal".

They then shook hands and the deal was set.
