Ch.39 Important ingredient

(10 years ago) Alice admired the beauty of Wonderland as she continued her journey. She was already missing her son, but she knew she had to protect Wonderland from the soon to happen curse, and she was coming back in 3 days, or so she thought. After a while of walking, she soon came upon a garden she's never seen before.

"Well this is new" she said to herself as she headed towards the garden.

But just as she was about to enter, a large rose jumped out in front of her and roared in her face exposing it's sharp teeth. Alice gave a shriek as she pulled out a dagger and sliced it's head off. Alice then took a step back from the garden afraid that more flowers could attack.

"Ok" she said under her breath "Note to self, never go into that garden".

So she went around the garden and went straight ahead. But she was walking, she suddenly heard the sound of a loud snoring, curious, she followed the sound until she came upon a sight that made her gasped. There in front of her was the Jabberwock all curled up and asleep. She knew that the Jabberwock has been wanting to get revenge on her since the battle between them years ago, but now she needed to get away slowly and quietly. She turned around and was about to go when a voice stopped her.

"Trying to get away Ms. Liddell?"

She turned around and saw the Evil Queen with an evil smile on her face.

"Look at you" she Queen said with a fake smile "You haven't changed a bit, but of course you're still not the fairest".

"You might wanna keep your voice down or you'll wake the Jabberwock" Alice whispered.

"Oh he wont wake, he's on a sleeping spell, he'll wake when I want him to wake".

Alice remembered that the Queen has been looking for her ever since she found out about the Queen's plan on Wonderland, but now that the Queen has found her, she had to find a way to escape.

"Don't even think about trying to escape" the Queen said, as if she could read Alice's mind "No matter what you do, you can't escape me".

"How did you find me after all these years?" Alice asked.

"Well I had a feeling that you were hiding in Wonderland, but it was hard to find you, especially since you changed your name to 'Wonderland', how clever" she said with disgust "So I gave up for a while, but then 6 years later, I came back here for one more look, and to my luck, I finally found you, and your little 6 year old son Alistair, very cute by the way, it disgusts me. So I heard that you were going on this mission to find a cure for a curse I planned to put on Wonderland, a curse that it shown in a book, where is that book by the way?"

"What makes you think I have it?"

"I don't think I know, now where is it?" she demanded.

Alice hesitated, knowing that the book was hidden in the Queen of Hearts castle.

"I don't remember" she told the Queen "But I know that you will never find it".

"But I will find it" the Queen assured "It's my book, I wrote that book, so I will find it no matter how long it takes".

"Then I'll stop you" Alice said with a stern look "Now matter what and how long it takes".

But the Queen just gave a small laugh.

"Oh please" she smirked "You really think you can stop me? I, have magic, and you, have nothing. Not even your son can stop me, it be a shame if something were to happen to him".

"You stay away from my son" Alice ordered sternly.

"Oh I'm not going to hurt him, no, he is" the Queen pointed to the Jabberwock as Alice's eyes widen "I know that he's been wanting to get you since your little battle, but instead, why not get the one thing you love most, Alistair".

Alice gave a mad look "Look, the Jabberwock can do whatever he wants with me, but he will NOT hurt my son!"

"Oh darling" the Queen said with an evil smile "How is the Jabberwock gonna get you when you wont even be here?"

She then made a blue orb appear in her hand, the orb was the color of the sky and the size of a softball.

"What is that?" Alice asked.

"A moonstone, one of the rarest stones in Wonderland. But this one is special, this one can give someone any power they want, but of course it's not for me, it's for him" she pointed to the Jabberwock "When I give this to him, it will give him any power he wants, making him more powerful that it will be impossible to stop him".

Alice held up her bravery "But this is Wonderland, nothing's impossible".

"Oh I've heard that too many times, but haven't you heard that curiosity often leads to trouble?" she said with a sneaky smile.

She then looked at the moonstone and ran her hand against it.

"You know, this moonstone is actually missing an important ingredient" she said "It's so important that without it, it's useless, do you wanna know what that ingredient it?"

"I have a feeling it's not good" Alice said.

"And you're right, it isn't. Well maybe not good for you, but good for the Jabberwock".

She then started to chant a spell as the moonstone began to glow.

"What are you doing?" Alice asked with a nervous look, but the Queen just continued to chant.

Alice then realized what was happening, she started to run but at that point, the Queen watched as Alice was sucked into the moonstone, hearing her scream was the last thing she heard from her. She looked at the moonstone with an evil smile, she did it, she had gotten rid of Alice.
