Once upon a time: Ever After High in Wonderland (Book 2)

Ch.15 Bunny's story

"Hey Bunny" Lizzie said as the girls continued walking around Wonderland "You never told us how you got into Manhattan".

"Oh" Bunny said "Well it's a long story".

"We can handle it" Maddie said "So how did you get into Manhattan?"

"Well all right then. So before the Evil Queen cast her curse, Alistair went to Ever After to help you guys prevent the curse while I stayed in Wonderland because I needed to help my dad. But when the curse happened  and you guys and everyone else disappeared, the curse didn't reach Wonderland so we were ok, but I had to find you guys. So one day I decided to go to the Well of Wonder to make a wish".

"The Well of Wonder can grant wishes?" Kitty said.

"Well I didn't know so I decided to try it. Anyway, I made a wish saying that I want my friends back whether they'll find me or I'll find them and I tossed the coin down. But then I felt something hit the back of my head which caused me to fall down the well".

"Something hit the back of you head?" Maddie asked.

"Yeah".

"What do you think it was?" Lizzie asked.

"It kinda felt like a ball".

"You think someone threw it at you?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know, it could of been an accident or something. Anyway, I was falling down the well until I finally came out of the well and I saw that I was near a city, I didn't know where I was until I saw a sign that said 'Welcome to Manhattan'. I tried to go down the well again but when I turned around the well was gone! So I was stuck in Manhattan, not knowing what to do, but at least I had to blend with the people there so they wont think I'm odd. So I went to a thrift store where I bought myself some cheep clothes and placed my old ones in Alistair's backpack. I then walked around the streets, still not knowing what to do. I only had had some money to buy some snacks, but most of the time, I was starving. By nightfall, I didn't have a place to stay, so I slept on a park bench that night".

"Oh my God" the girls gasped.

"You slept homeless style" Kitty said.

"Yeah" Bunny sighed "But I didn't get any sleep that night. And the next day, I was still starving, so at one point I stole this guy's pizza when he wasn't looking".

"Whoa!" the girls gasped.

"You stole something?" Kitty said with a little smile.

"Yeah" Bunny said with guilt "I felt bad, but I was hungry and I didn't have enough money. So for the rest of the day, I walked around the city and wondered if this is gonna be my life now cause I can't get back home. And that night when I was walking in a neighborhood, I got chased by a dog so I had to hide in some bushes in front of a house. After the dog went away, I was scared to go out so I crawled onto the house porch and cried myself to sleep".

"Wait you slept of someone's porch?" Lizzie said.

"Well I didn't have any other place to sleep. Anyway, the next morning I was woken up by someone tapping me. I woke up and saw that an elderly man, I then realized that this was his house. He asked me if I was homeless and I said yes with tears in my eyes. I apologized for sleeping on his porch, but just as I was about to leave, the man stopped me and asked me if I would like to come in and have breakfast. I was surprised that he was willing to give me food, and yet relived with joy. So I took the offer and went in. The man was named Maxwell, and he gave me a stack of pancakes as we chatted. He asked me what my name was, but I was embarrassed to say my real name so I told him my name was Christina after seeing a Christina Grimmie poster in the city. He also asked me how I became homeless and where my parents are, I was for sure he wouldn't believe me I told him what really happened so I just said I didn't want to talk about because it was 'too painful to talk about it'. After I ate he told me I could stay in his son's old room until he finds a place for me to stay, so that's what I did. Maxwell was so nice, he gave me food and clothes, he treated me like I was his own granddaughter. Then one day Maxwell founded a nice apartment for me to stay, he even got me a job and a car! So since then I've been living my new life in my new apartment, going to my new job, driving in my new car, and going by my new name. But I knew I still had to find you guys, but it was hard to do so cause I had no evidence on where you guys were. And then a year went by, but then one day, as I was heading to my apartment door, a newspaper flew by and landed next to my feet. But as I looked at the front cover, I was shocked to see that there was a photo of Alistair!"

"Wait what was the story about?" Maddie asked.

"I don't remember, the writing below him was kinda blurry so I couldn't read it that well, but I was able to read that his name was Brenden Lawrence and that he lived in town called Storybrooke in Maine. I had to find him, even though he went by a different name. I was able to locate Storybrooke and I drove there and found you guys. And here we are now".

"Oh my gosh Bunny" Lizzie gasped.

"Yeah" Bunny sighed with a little smile "Looks like my wish came true, well, most of it".

"Well it's a good thing you found us" Kitty said.

"Yeah, but now we have to find Alistair and my full wish will come true".
