Background Story: Priya was born in a royal family of genies inside a magic lamp hidden in dark, ancient cave in the deserts of Saudi Arabia. Inside the lamp lies a lavish and divine valley where a beautiful kingdom rests. Her father, the Sultan, is the mythological king of all the djinn. Priya strives to be a destined wish granter, but most royal genies, like her family, are born with the innate right for extreme power over their people. One day, in the year 1992, a group of archeologists dug up the lamp and brought to New York City to be put on display at the Museum of Natural History. Priya's father decided to send her to school and guided her to bring their lamp to school with her.
