Background: Hiroshi was born in Feudal Japan during the Muromachi period. He and his brother Takeshi were destined to be the wisest of their race, but Hiroshi's clumsiness makes it difficult for him to do so. After their homeland was ransacked by human hunters, he and his family were forced to live in the mountains, hiding in the human village. Hiroshi was tricked into leaving home by his younger brother and received a cut on his cheek by a human after it attacked him.
