Background Story: Ethgranar was born in a forest in Maine. His father was hellbent on obtaining a field guide created by a man named Arthur Spiderwick who studied and wrote about the magical creatures he had found around his mansion estate. Spiderwick created a circle which created an invisible, protective barrier around his home to protect the book from Mulgarath. Spiderwick's descendants, the Grace family, moved into his home after a recent divorce. The three children discover the book, immediately alerting the faeries as the book is read, regardless of it's conspicuous warning not to be. Mulgarath and his army of goblin led by a redcap used a potion to break the circle's barrier as the full moon rose. As Mulgarath transformed into a raven, he finally had the book in his grasp, but was then eating by a hobgoblin. Ethgranar's mother was a fairy who was forced to become Mulgarath's mate.
