Background Story: Beth was born in Ancient Greece. It is rumored that her father was Ovid, since he had told the story of Arachne. Her mother, Arachne, was a mortal weaver who challenged Athena, the goddess of wisdom, to a weaving contest after she boasted over her weaving skills at her. Arachne won, but due to her insolence, Athena turned her into a spider humanoid so she can weave without a spindle or loom. Feeling guilty, Arachne hanged herself. Athena, out of pity, brought her back to life. Beth was born to weave for all time, but she rebelled against this. She has a strong hatred against Athena.
