Background Story: Jocelyn was born in Michigan. She and her parents drove up to the old cabin with in the woods for a little getaway. Her parent's colleagues came along as well. There, her parents came across the Necronomicon Ex-Mortix, the Book of the Dead. After accidentally reciting an enchantment in the pages, undead demons called Deadites awakened from their dormancy around the woods. Linda and the rest became possessed by Kandarian demons, turning into Deadites themselves. Ash could only protect his daughter from the evil dead. After dispatching his possessed wife and friends, Ash was left with Jocelyn. Using his chainsaw, he defended his young daughter from the Deadites as much as possible. They moved into a trailer park when Ash worked at S-Mart. Jocelyn became the one to keep the Necronomicon from falling into the wrong hands.
