Background Story: Oscar was born in abandoned mine in Japan. His father was an American documentarist who encountered Ellie Layton in the mines. His mother is the ghost of young girl who suffered a horrific death and now haunts the phones of victims. She fails them on their cell phones and a ringtone is played which is her favorite tune. She sends them a recording of what their deaths will sound like in the future. After each victim is killed, they spit out a round, red-colored piece of hard candy before dying. Oscar was first put into a normal human preparatory school, but on his first day, he was bullied, ridiculed and abused by Cereza Boggs. His mother then decided to put him in a place where he could fit in; Peregrine Academy.
