(MARSHALL'S POV, the day after)
"So, what's your dad like?" I asked Marcy as we flew towards her dad's house in the Nightosphere. She didn't really talk to me about her dad. All I know is that she finds him irritating at times.
"Kinda like your mom. A business magnate, cold but crazy, but not the make-my-son-marry-a-girl-of-my-choice crazy, more like the suck-the-soul-out-of-my-daughter's-friends kind of crazy," Marcy said as she laughed and I joined her laughter.
"But you're not in good terms with him too, are you?" I asked in a teasing manner with a small grin to avoid getting too serious.
"Yeah, he ate my fries," she laughed. She was a child then! "But the fries aren't a big deal anymore. We aren't in good terms because of this 'annoying dad and irritable daughter' thing," she continued.
"I feel you, love," I smirked. She chuckled at my statement. "I can't believe we're doing this. I mean, she knows dad after all so..." She uttered.
"C'mon, it can't be that bad," I remarked.
We finally arrived and she entered the house without knocking. "Dad?"
"Marcy! You're here!" Mr. Hunson Abadeer exclaimed cheerfully, and he embraced Marcy. She rolled my eyes and smiled, but hugged back anyway. He could be annoying but I know she still loves him deep down. I smiled as I looked at them.
Mr. Abadeer then turns to look at me, and his mood suddenly changed. He looked at me with his now cold eyes. I pocketed my smile.
"And who is this?" He asked sternly.
"Uh, dad," Marcy trailed off. She flew next to me and held my and with her left hand and my arm with her other hand. "This is Marshall Lee, son of Mrs. Helena Lee. Dad, he's my boyfriend," Marcy said calmly. Her dad only raised a brow.
"Nice to meet you Sir," I said silently and then pressed my lips into a hard line as I I reached for his hand and shook them.
"I see," he said coldly, "so you're here to introduce him to me?"
"Actually, dad, I'm here to ask about Helena Lee," Marceline stated as she floated past Mr. Abadeer and sat on the the couch. "She mentioned that you know each other," she continued.
Mr. Abadeer didn't move. I followed Marcy and when I floated past him, I felt him grab my arm.
"Take away her chastity and I'll castrate you," he whispered. Before I could even say what, he turned back to Marcy, "It's true!" He said in an as-a-matter-of-fact manner and he walked towards her and they continued to talk.
I was left there dumbfounded. Those were the first words he ever said to me. So he is this kind of dad, huh.
"Marshall," Marceline called, "what are you doing?"
"Oh, I zoned out," I said as I approached them. I went to sit next to Marcy. When I floated past Mr. Hunson, I smirked and whispered confidently to his ear, "Deal."
I then sat down and then looked at him. His face was a mixture of anger and disgust. I found it really funny that I couldn't pocket my smile. I weighed my elbow on my knees and subtly covered my mouth with my thumb and index finger. Marcy just looked at us in confusion.
"What are you guys talking about?" She finally asked. She might've noticed it a while ago but kept silent.
Hunson let out a sigh, "It's nothing."
Marcy seemed intimidated. "Whatever, I'm gonna go get something to eat. I'll be back," she said with a hint of annoyance. As soon as she left the living room, Hunson quickly stood me up, tugging my shirt.
