(MARCELINE'S POV)

"So... I guess this is home? I said as I faced Marshall. Bonnie and Gumball had left a while ago. He looked at me and smiled unsurely. "We'll need to fix that," he said as he ran his hand through his hair.

"You mean, we'll build a new house?" I asked. That sounded kind of exciting. We'll be building our house together. If not, at least we'll be neighbors. "Yeah," Marshall replied as he slightly pinched my chin. "We could stay at the Candy Kingdom or in the treehouse for the meantime," he continued.

I nodded with a smile. "For now, let's take all the stuff that we could still use before we wreck the place," I suggested and we proceeded to doing it.

I went in my part of the house and Marshall in his. The first thing I grabbed was my diary and my memory box. I grabbed a box and put them in there. I turned on the lights but to no avail. Darn it.

I grabbed my recorder. It was already on the floor. Hopefully it still works. My small speakers didn't survive though. I grabbed every ornaments that weren't broken.

My first box was loaded so I placed it outside and grabbed another. I then looked for my acoustic guitar. It was under my bed, luckily unharmed. I sat on my bed and put all my clothes in the box. I went out again and put the items outside.

Marshall approached me. "How's it going?" He asked as he took the box from my hands and carried it. "My speakers are broken. Luckily this isn't," I said as I showed him my guitar. "Mine didn't survive," he said sadly as he showed me his axe guitar. It was broken into two, its strings the only thing keeping it intact.

I felt bad when I saw that. He loves that guitar so much. "But it's okay," he said with a smile. I smiled at him too, but in my mind, I planned on getting that guiter fixed. "Where's your bass?" He asked. "I left it in the Candy Kingdom," I answered.

He put the box of clothes down beside the other boxes and let out a sigh.

After a couple hours and three dozen of boxes, we finished. It was already 8 in the evening. We even separated the usable items from those that can longer be used. We also moved the furniture outside.

I sat down my couch. "Man, that was exhausting," I uttered. Marshall sat beside me. He leaned closer and kissed my forehead. I smiled at him.

"So what now?" I asked. "We better decide where we should stay," he replied.

"We do own a lot of places around the land," I said. "The ones we carved our initials on?" He asked. "Yeah."

"Let's see. Finn's treehouse, the cave by the sea, the other cave in the forest... where else?" He enumerated.

"I don't know. I guess the caves would be the most conducive, but without a house inside, they're not convenient especially that we're staying for quite a long time. And they're too far away from here and with these boxes... I don't think so," I analyzed.

"You're right. I guess we'll just have to stay at the treehouse or in the Candy Kingdom. Where do you want to stay?" He asked. He always lets me pick.

"I think the Candy Kingdom would be more convenient," I answered. "Why do you say so?" He asked.

"Well, it is bigger than the treehouse. If we stay at the treehouse, they'll have to rearrange and decide who sleeps where. There are four of them living there. On the other hand, we could stay at the Candy Kingdom without Bonnie even noticing, unless she decides to spy on everyone again," I reasoned.

"I guess that's true," he said as he looked up, "let's go and tell them."

"Of course!" Bonnie immediately answered when we told her about everything. "I'll have your rooms ready in a moment," she said happily. "Thanks," Marshall said with a smile. We brought some of our stuff and left the others.

The banana guards then came in and helped us with our boxes. We followed them to our rooms. On our way, we saw that the things in the palace were still disarranged. I guess that was when the worlds collided.

We arrived at the end of the hall where two rooms faced each other. It was just at the level where Bonnie's and Gumball's rooms are. I took my stuff after I kissed Marshall's cheek and went into my room.

It was a simple pastel-colored room. It's not too small and not to big. Marshall's room is presumably the same.

I put the box down and decided I should just unpack them later. I threw myself into the soft bed and stared up the ceiling. This was a long day. But I'm very happy. Marshall and I are finally together again.

A few minutes passed and the door creaked open. I looked up to see Marshall smiling at me. "Hey," he greeted. "Hey," I replied, still lying down. He floated and sat on the bed beside me. He weighed his arm on the bed on my side as he leaned in to kiss me.

I kissed back and caressed his defined jaw. My other hand roamed the back of his head, playing with his hair.

He slowly pulled away and smiled. I sat up straight beside him and laid my head on his shoulder. I really missed this, and I am very euphoric that he's finally here with me. He will be forever with me.

Of course there was a lot of catching up. We talked about many things, mostly things that happened while we were away from each other. I even teared up once or twice. He explained what happened during the wedding and how they were able to escape. It was unimaginable, but they did it.

After a few minutes, Bonnie and Gumball came in to join. While Marshall declared that he hates Gumball, the two were talking endlessly and not a rude word was released. It was obvious they missed each other because obviously they cared for each other.

But I'm not talking to him about that though.

The night passed, and everyone went back to their rooms except for Marshall, who was still laying in bed with me. I laid my head on his chest and my hand was on top of his chest.

He took my hand and kissed it. "I'm so happy, my queen," he said with a smile on his lips. "Me too," I said softly. He turned to me so he was now laying his side. "I mean it," he whispered. "I know, I do too," I replied as I caressed his cheek. "Don't you ever leave me like that again," I said as I stared into his eyes.

"Never. I promise," he whispered and kissed my forehead. He slowly sat up and then he looked at me. "It's been a long day, and you need to rest," he said.

"Good night Marshall," I said with a smile.

"Good night, Marceline," he replied and gave me one last kiss before he left my room.
