(MARSHALL'S POV)

I pondered at the wizard's words, and now I'm not even sure if I should tell Gumbutt and the rest about my constant meetings with Marceline. Bonnie knew, but I made her royal promise not to tell anyone until I decide on things. Marcy's at stake here.

But I did continue seeing her. days have passed, but everything's still the same. We would sit next to each other, gazing at the stars, never-endingly gawking at the vast universe beyond our comprehension. But I have mine just beside me, just beyond my reach, but at the same time, unattainable.

We never kissed, hugged, or even held hands since that night. I don't want to make rash actions that might agitate her.

I also think it's about time to extract her from her delusion home and husband before she gets too attached, because I know too well that this is my girlfriend who would've been my wife if it weren't for that accident. But I have to be careful not to hurt her too much in the process, else she might think wrongly of me and hate me. The recovery of her memories is not guaranteed, and she hasn't been showing signs of recapturing. That's what I'm afraid of.

(MARCELINE'S POV)

It's been months since the accident, and I only remember bits and pieces like shards of broken glass, and blurry faces which I really don't help me understand. There was one memory that, like a dream, disappeared just as fast as it appeared. It felt so real, it felt like years in just seven seconds. The same blurry face, but a pleasant aura, the same one I feel when I'm around Marshall. Could it be that I've kissed Marshall before?

I got ready to meet him. The second I hear Ash's snores, I would carefully sneak out the window and fly to the forest. Ash fell into a deep slumber, his back facing me. I jumped out of bed and flew out the window forthwith. Passing by several trees pointing to the sky, I arrived in our meeting spot where Marshall was already standing.

We exchanged smiles and I floated towards him. I bent to sit down but he grabbed my wrist. "Actually," he spoke as he pulled me up, "I have other plans for tonight."

"What?" I asked, confused. He just smiled and flew, dragging me. "Marshall!" I called. He didn't respond. "Marshall, where are we going?" I asked again. "Just hang in there, it isn't far," he stated. We flew in the night sky. I wasn't concerned about being seen, there's nobody in sight at this hour.

We arrived in a place by a body of water. We landed on a pier. I looked at the stars and admired how they were more visible here than at home. "What is this place?" I asked Marshall, amazed. "This just used to be a lake before the collision of our world. Now, with the addition of a garden, the pier and some small cabin, it looks like some kind of resort," he explained briefly.

"Collision?"

He looked at me as I asked. "It's a really long story, and it was kinda my fault. There's so much you have to rediscover, Marcy." He chuckled. He then floated closer to me, his hands in his pockets. "You know what else is special about this place?" He asked. "What?" I replied with another question.

"Well, you know how relationships have their ups and downs, laughter and tears, joy and pain. There was one point in our relationship where things just got so hard. It was not us, no, it wasn't us. It lasted for weeks. But we stayed strong despite the hardships like there wasn't anything going on. And I just felt gratified and set up a surprise for you. We came to this place to celebrate and escape reality for a little while, like there wasn't a single problem."

His eyes were filled with bliss as he recalled. I could only imagine. It must've been a special day, and it was supposed to be memorable.

We sat on the edge of the pier as he told me everything about what they call the Collision and what happened after. He also sang to me, like he apparently did the night we came here. But it hadn't been two hours, and we went back to the forest because time is bounded and in a few hours, I'll be back in Ash's arms.
