(MARCELINE'S POV)

The three months quickly passed by and our house was finished. I was really thrilled and excited. On the last few days, Bonnie and the rest decided they do the "finishing touch" without me and Marshall so that it would be a surprise. I'm not really cheeky with houses. As long as they're conducive to living then I'm okay with it.

When the sun set, we headed to the house by the woods, and it was indeed a surprise. My mouth gaped at the sight.

It was basically a brick house. It didn't have to have this much windows, but with all the trees surrounding the place, standing as if they were piercing the sky, I don't think that's a big problem.

"Marshall, I didn't realize it was so huge," I said, awestruck. "You like it?" He asked with a smile as he looked at me. "You kidding? I can't ask for more," I said as I hugged him.

"Well? Go on inside!" Fionna said excitedly with a gesture. I flew and I was the first to push the lever handle of the door down to open it. Astonishment filled me as I looked around. There were already furnitures there, but only a few. There were still no decorations because we'll have to take care of that ourselves.

It was beautiful. The little kid in me grew excited and I just can't contain it. I left Marshall behind and explored the house myself. After flying around the house for the third time, Marshall and I met in the bedroom and I crashed into his hug as I threw my arms around him too.

"Baby, I love it!" I exclaimed and he chuckled. He obviously sensed my excitement. "Really? You love it?" He asked. "I do," I answered. "It's all ours. This is our very own home," he said and then kissed my forehead.

"Oh, I also got you a little something," I said as I pulled away. "Really? What is it?" My vampire king asked. "Wait here," I instructed. Not waiting for what he has to say, I quickly flew outside the house, to the truck where our stuff were stacked.

After a small arranging, transferring boxes from here to there, I finally dug to find the big rectangular wooden box. I dragged it off the truck and opened it. Inside was Marshall's axe guitar, good as new. I promised to get it fixed. He's gonna be so happy.

I put the lid back on the box. I flew back to the house and dragged Marshall out and in front of the wooden box. He chuckled at the sight. "What is this?"

"Open it and see for yourself," I beamed excitedly. He smiled at me before he got down on one knee. He removed the lid to reveal his beloved guitar, in perfect condition as if it was never broken.

"My guitar!" He exclaimed as he turned back and looked up to me and I gave him a smile. "Baby, when did you- how?" He asked in utter surprise as his gaze shifted back to the instrument. He picked it up and examined it, sliding his fingers across the strings and on its body.

"I got it fixed. I want to hear you play it again and I want you to be happy. I know you love it so much, not to mention it's an heirloom," I explained. He placed the guitar back and it was almost like he jumped on me, hugging me tight. "Thank you Marcy. You're the best," he whispered into my neck, his cool breath tingling on my skin.

I hugged him. Seeing him happy makes me overwhelmingly happy too. "Anything for you, my king," I said as my hand found its way to the back of his head and caressed it.

"Hey lovebirds! Come in already, let's celebrate!" Gumball called from the door, holding a bottle of red wine. I let out a small laugh and we pulled away. Marshall picked up his guitar once again. He put his free hand around my waist and we floated back to our new home.

Red wine, glasses clinking and chatters. That's how the night went before the rest went home, leaving me and Marshall some elbow room. It was already 11 in the evening. The boxes are still in the door way. We decided to get this done today.

We carried the boxes and took them to the room. We unpacked them and placed our stuff where they belong. By 1 we finished everything.

Our clothes were placed in the closet in our room. We now have our own studio where we can record songs. That's where we placed our instruments and recorder and so on.

The last thing I did was carve our initial on the wall using a large nail I found behind the house, like Marshall and I do to the places we own. Then, I covered it with a picture frame.

After everything was done, I plopped down in bed next to Marshall. "Phew! Done at last," I uttered mostly to no one. Marshall looked at me with his palm under his head. "Do you realize we're going to be sleeping in the same bed from now on?"

No, that thought never came to me until now. I mean, I was very excited about the house that I forgot about that. I became more excited.

"So from now on, we're gonna be... like, live-in partners?" I asked. He simply nodded his head with a smile. "And it's finally a dream come true," he whispered, smiling goofily. "Dream come true? How?" I asked with a snicker. "I can finally wake up next to you everyday for the rest of eternity," he answered, still smiling. He then wrapped his arms around me and playfully kissed me just anywhere in the face.

I couldn't help but giggle, struggling to break free from his hug. "Ugh, Marshall, stop! Let go!" I laughed. "You were so hard to come by, now why would I let you go that easily?" He whispered to my ears.

"Cheesy king," I chuckled. "Shut up," he mumbled and gave me a kiss on the lips.

After a few minutes of just cuddling in bed, he spoke, "Okay, I gotta go take a shower." He waited for my reply. "You badly need one," I joked. "Hey!" He exclaimed and I just laughed at him. He just let out that chuckle that I really like as he started undressing in front of me, leaving on his boxers.

"Hey, go be sexy somewhere else!" I yelled at him.

"But it's all for you," he commented with a sly grin as he wrapped a clean white towel around his hips. I rolled my eyes at his joke and laughed, then he proceeded to the bathroom.

(MARSHALL'S POV)

The warm water felt so good hitting against my cold skin. I got out of the shower, towel on my hips. "Marcy?" I called as I flew to the closet to fish out some comfortable clothes. "I'm done, it's your turn." No answer.

I turned around to see her laying in bed, sleeping. A smile crept to my face. I always find it cute how she sleeps. I got myself dressed and floated over to the bed. Marcy is kind of a heavy sleeper. Not really, but just a little, while I am such a light sleeper.

I put my arms under her nape and knees, and I carefully lifted her and placed her properly on the bed, the pillow under her head. I covered her body with the sheets and I laid under it, beside her. She was laying on her back while I on my side.

And I just looked at her while she slept peacefully.

I moved closer to kiss her forehead and wrap my arms around her as I closed my eyes, waiting for myself to drift into slumber.
