(MARSHALL'S POV)
"Jake?"
"No, that's Finn!" Jake corrected Marceline and the group laughed. Marcy's been trying to memorize who's who while everyone was gathered around her bed. I sat on the couch opposite to the bed, some meters away from it, just looking at them laughing, looking at her once again happy and slowly healing. This is how I want her to be, always.
It was Ash all along. I should've known. But I thought the scumbag died in the fire after we fought. I stood up and approached them as they talked, they do have a lot of catching up to do. "Marcy," I interrupted them and they silenced, giving me a chance to talk. "I'll go get you a change of clothes since you'll be staying here for two mpre days. I'll be back," I let her know and she nodded. "Okay, thank you Marshall," she beamed. I turned around and they continued chatting. Her bruises are lighter now. That's good.
I flew out the window and headed to our house. Schwabl greeted me with loud yaps as he stood on two legs. "Hey buddy," I greeted back as I rubbed the fluff of hair on his head. I flew to the bedroom and Schwabl came running after me. I took my knapsack, flew to the closet and opened it. Schwabl came yapping. "What's up boy?" I asked and I noticed he was sniffing me, yapping. "Oh, you missed Mommy? Sorry I forgot about you." I took about three pairs of Marceline's clothes and some of mine, and her undergarments, folded them and arranged them in the knapsack. "She's back, Schwabl. And you're going to the Candy Kingdom with me. She'd be so happy to see you again."
I took a hair brush, her toothbrush, anything she might need, and red sweet and menthol candies. I placed everything inside the knapsack. I looked around and spotted my axe guitar leaned against the wall beside my bed. I placed everything down and flew towards it. I reached for its neck. I thought of bringing it with me. But not because I wanted to play it.
Images of Ash's throat slashed and blood oozing from the wound appeared in my head.
I was bloodthirsty.
I slowly reached to grab it. As my finger brushed across a string, Schwabl barked loudly and startled me. I snapped out of my thoughts as I flinched a little. I turned around to see Schwabl sitting there, looking at me with his head tilted, and the knapsack on the bed. I sighed, turned around and floated towards him. "Let's go somewhere else first."
I opened the portal to the Nightosphere. With the knapsack on my back and Schwabl in my arms, I flew through the entrance on the wall. We were greeted by the screeching of miserable souls. The portal closed behind us, and I flew towards Hunson's house.
I knocked on the door and opened it. I entered his home and closed the door behind me. The first room to come into view was the dining room, and he had just walked in from another room. "Marshall? It's been quite a while. What brings you here?" He asked, surprised to see me. "Mr. Abadeer..." I didn't know where to start, or what to expect from him when I tell him I've been keeping this from him. It is a big deal. He raised his eyebrows, waiting for me to continue.
"Mr. Abadeer, I'm sorry... I've been keeping this a secret, I didn't tell you, and you can kill me later.... but Marceline's alive."

Hunson opened a portal from the Nightosphere to the Candy Kingdom, particularly in Marcy's room. It appeared on the empty wall of the room, just beside the couch I was sitting on for several minutes earlier. Hunson walked out and I followed behind him, carrying Schwabl. Schwabl yapped and jumped out of my arms, running towards Marcy.
Marcy, who was occupied with the presence of an unfamiliar and unexpected visitor, pulled out of her surprise and turned her attention to Schwabl as he jumped on her lap. "Hey buddy," she chirped, "I missed you." She hugged Schwabl and turned her attention back to Hunson who was slowly approaching her. Every one else was surprised too.
"Marcy, I brought your clothes and some other things. But I hope you don't mind, I brought a visitor too," I said as I flew to her bedside and placed the knapsack down, setting it to lean on the foot of the drawer. Hunson looked at her daughter with mixed emotions. His eyes were filled with sadness, disbelief, happiness and remorse.
"Marshall, who is he?" Marceline asked, genuinely confused. "Marceline, it's me. I'm your dad," Hunson introduced himself. Marcy's eyes widened and her mouth gaped. I had already explained to him that she has amnesia. "D-dad? I have a father? A-a family?" Marceline asked, looking at me and back at Hunson. Her eyes were filled with tears. "Of course you do," Hunson answered, teary-eyed himself.
Marcy couldn't help but let her tears fall. Hunson sat on her bedside and slowly embraced her. Marceline threw her arms around him. She was extremely euphoric. Her memories of their blood feud had gone, and turns out, she really loves her family. Bonnibel looked at them with teary eyes and a smile plastered on her face, just like every one else. But then our gaze met, and she gestured for me to go to her. I did as told and flew to her, giving Marcy time and space to reunite with her father.
Bonnibel grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the group. "You went to Hunson without letting us know? Someone could have seen you!" She hissed. I pulled a straight face. "Bubblegum, we've been dealing with this problem, worrying for a long time about what they may be able to do to harm us or whatever. But it's just Ash."
"Wait, that butt's still alive?" She asked, surprised. Even Bonnie thought Ash was dead. "Surprise," I exclaimed sarcastically. Bonnie was in utter surprise. "But I won't let him get away with this. Nobody does this to Marceline. But for now, I'll be here to take care of Marcy, make sure she's okay." Bubblegum nodded. "Still, I actually thought he was dead," she murmured as she turned around and walked to rejoin the group.
"We weren't in good terms, actually, as father and daughter. I'll be completely honest with you. It was all my fault..." I stood there, listening to Marcy and Hunson from a distance.
"I'll fix everything, I'll correct my mistakes." I could never forget the look on Hunson's face as he promised back at the Nightosphere, and he's doing a pretty good job at it. Marcy was all ears as Hunson recounted their memories. There weren't that much, but he kept apologizing, assuring Marcy that she'll never deprive of a family's love ever again.
