"You'll do great sweetie." My mom smiled.
"You got this babygirl." My dad said as well.
Keith came up to me with a giant smile on his face knowing that he just won the boys trophy.
"You're going to win this, you know it." He smiled.
"Well now that I have my lucky charm with me I will."
"Okay enough of that mushy stuff." My dad interrupted. Totally forgot he was still there.
My cheeks went red and I'm sure Keith's did too.
"Oh leave them alone honey." My mom saved me as she started to steer him to the bleachers.
"I'm so nervous." I admitted. Now that all the other games ended it was just us girls playing now and I'm sure every person in this gym will be watching.
"You'll do amazing like you always do. Now kill it out there." Keith smiled at me before giving me a quick kiss on the cheek.
I smiled at him sweetly before jogging over to my team who were all surrounding around coach.
"Now that everyone is here," Lilly smirked at me knowing that I was just with her younger brother. It's so weird to say that they are siblings, I totally forgot they were. "This is the last game of the tournament. And even though everyone in the gym are watching us doesn't mean that you guys should be nervous." well thanks for remind us. *Cue eye roll* "You guys have been playing like a team, a family, like winners. So kick some ass!" she then smiled as we all breaked from the huddle and started warming up.
After fifteen minutes of both of our teams warming up it was finally time to play the game.
Luckily we won the coin toss so we got serve. Michaela was at the back line ready to serve. Once the referee blew the whistle, she took a deep breath and served that ball over.
The libero passed the ball to their setter who then set it to their middle. Taylor and Makenna were up at the net ready to block the hitter as the ball came towards us. Unfortunately the ball hit the side of their hands and flew to the ground.
I tried to dive for the ball but was just a millisecond too late and it missed my hand on the ground. Damn. I missed it.
Point for them.
"It's already ladies, sideout!" Lilly yelled at us as we got in ready position.
The girl serving served the ball over and literally landed right to Isabella's arms. She passed the ball to me and I set it to Makenna.
"Out!" she yelled. Makenna had done her approach and smacked that ball pretty hard I thought we were going to get the point but their left back got the ball up. Even though it had hit on her upper chest, the ball still went up.
Their setter ran to pass it up, which back row free balled it to us. I loved free ball plays, they were the easiest to get points in.
Nicole passed me the ball as I passed it to Taylor this time.
"Two!" she had yelled. Setting the ball to the number she called out she hit that ball down and landed right in the middle of the court. Yes!
Point for us.
The game was dangerously close. It has been the entire game. The score was 22-22.
