Noah.
"Okay bye honey. Call me if you miss me." my mother said as she dropped me off in front of the building where I was supposed to check in at.
"Yes mother." I rolled my eyes.
"Now you know to call me when something is wrong."
"Yes I know. Now goodbye before you embarrass me even more!"
"Okay, okay. Bye Noah."
"Bye mom, love you."
"Love you too sweetie." and with that she left.
I went to my dorm room and there were already two beds occupied. I took a bed and dropped all my things. I looked up at my watch and realized I had only ten minutes till tryouts officially started.
"Shoot!" I said to myself as I quickly grabbed my gear and put it on. I think it's a personal record to get ready in less than two minutes.
I then ran out of the building and into the gym. It was already really crowded. There were obviously more girls than guys but that didn't bug me. No one rarely sees me anyway, I just hope that playing here will make me become better at being social with others.
I got to my side of the court and started practicing. We were playing Kings of the Court. It was a game where on one side you were considered to be the 'Kings' and then there would be three on each side of the court.
You would play until one side lost the ball. If the 'Kings' lost it, they were off the court, and the winners would go onto the 'Kings' side.
This was one of my favorite warm up games. Then again, I think we were playing this game so some of the coaches could see what we had before the tryouts even started.
I was actually excited that I was here for the whole summer. Maybe being here will make me more outgoing and when I get back to school, everyone will be begging to be my friend. Yeah, I like the sound of that.
"Hey, you're good." said someone from behind me.
"Uh, thanks." I told him. Usually people don't talk to me.
"Don't be ashamed of it, you have talent." he told me.
"Thanks." I said again.
"I'm Keith." he told me.
"Noah." I said.
"Well Noah, you are a good player." he smiled at me. "Well let the tryouts begin." he said just as some man was about to speak.
"Everyone gather around!" he yelled after he blew the whistle which probably broke my eardrums. "Okay. As you know, we decided to let the guys join this academy. Now that doesn't change the rules we have here. I don't want to lecture you because now is about time you play your hardest and show us what you got.
"Like you were before, guys on one side of the court, and girls on the other side. Each of the designated coaches will tell you what drill you will be doing. If they move you to a curtain group, don't be afraid, we are trying to level out the teams.
"When I blow my whistle again, that means freeze and I will give you further instructions. Now go!" he yelled and everyone ran to their spot.
Well Noah, show them the best you got.

Hope you liked it.
