Keith.

I was running some drills with my dad and some of his co-workers so they can practice on what to do this year with guys attending the academy. I was so happy that my weeks of begging and getting straight A's in school convinced my dad to let guys into the camp.

Once they said yes I grew even more ecstatic, but knew that it was going to get a lot harder considering he had to change the website and contact boy teams around the country about the camp letting guys attend.

I have three older sisters who have all been through the camp since they were fourteen. Now it's my turn at seventeen and I was certainly ready.

"Good work son." my dad patted my back after doing a hardworking drill.

"Thanks dad." I said, wiping my face that was full of sweat.

"Why don't you go take a shower, you have done enough for today."

"Okay." I simply said and left the gym.

Okay, so my parents own California Volleyball Academy in Modoc County, California. This land was first owned by my grandparents, my father's parents and when my parents first got married they were volleyball fans.

They then started a family once my mother was pregnant with my first sister, Meredith. A couple years later my second sister, Lilly was born, a year later my third sister, Allyson was born and then three years later I was born.

But throughout making us a family my parents decided to create this academy after Lilly was born. So ever since we have been a big volleyball family. Not that I don't mind, I actually am in love with the sport.

Some say it's a girl sport but it can be a man's sport as well. It's like saying it's better for males to play football or basketball than females to. Which is totally sexses so volleyball can be played by both males and females.

Since the academy started in a week, me and my sisters have been checking all of the dorm rooms to make sure they were all clean, and had the right amount of toilet paper, soap, towels and so on. To be honest it was a lot more tiring than I had expected it to be.

I was excited for this camp. I knew that I was going to try my hardest at being a great team captain, an amazing hitter, and how much passion I have for volleyball. I wasn't going to let no girls or guys distract me from playing my hardest.

I am so ready for guys to finally attend CVA. I, Keith Brisbane will bring volleyball to a whole new level.
