Tyler didn't even bother going to lunch this Thursday, he grabbed his phone and headed towards the bathroom. He walked in and avoided his own reflection in the mirror. He didn't need to see his horrendous reflection, besides he wasn't having an absolutely terrible day so why ruin it by looking at himself. He looked in all the stalls first to ensure that they were all empty. He slid into his usual stall and put the lid of the toilet down and sat criss cross on it. He placed his head phones in and played music in an attempt to drown out his own thoughts.
He didn't hear it a first because he was listening to music but suddenly Tyler realized that someone had walked into the bathroom. He pulled one headphone out as he listened to the running water coming from the sink. He heard someone rustling around before choked back sobs broke out in the once silent bathroom. He heard the boy hiss as louder sobs cracked through the tiny bathroom. He sat holding his breath as small whimpers of pain came from outside the stall. He waited a few moments contemplating if he should leave the stall to see if the boy was okay. Tyler didn't get the chance as the boy moved into the handicapped stall next to his and Tyler noticed his platform converse again.
Tyler turned off his music and listened to the boy sniffle and heard the sounds of pencil on paper. He waited 10 minutes and the sniffles finally stopped fully and Tyler placed his feet on the ground and opened the stall door to walk out. He washed his hands and made his way to the door looking back to see if the mystery boy would leave the stall.
"I hope you're okay too" he said as he walked out, letting the door close behind him.

Troye froze as he saw the black Vans appeared in the stall next to him. His heart was racing as he watched the shoes move among the bathroom. Troye felt his stomach flip as the boy spoke out to him. He knew that the mystery boy was in the stall the whole time and without a doubt heard the entire ordeal from where he was sitting in the stall.
Anxiety and panic began to course through Troye's body as the situation settled on him. What if the boy told someone? What if that mystery boy knew it was him? Troye felt the tears rushing into his eyes begging to be set free so that the truth could run wild. Troye took a deep breath and counted to 15 in an attempt to clam his nerves. The voices in his head screamed the normal thoughts of overwhelming self hatred. Troye was on the road to believing that the voices were right. He was a fuck up, he wasn't worth it, he did ruin everything, he deserved all the bad things in his life, he wouldn't be missed if he was gone. Troye stood up once again feeling the numbness spread throughout is body.
Troye made is way out of the bathroom and retrieved his backpack from his locker trying to be carful of the fresh cuts on his arms. He hated drama class for the one reason that every person in the class had to participate in the projects within the class in some way. Troye didn't have any amazing talents to share with his drama class. He enjoyed being the quiet one that no one paid attention to, thats what he'd always been and he liked it that way.
His drama class took place backstage in the cast room area. The room didn't have any desks so his wacko teacher, Glo she said to call her, made the class sit on various things in the class room. Troye opted to sit on the steps of a house that was used for a prop in a past production and other students sat it different areas. He was relieved to see that no one came to sit next to him so that he had time to be my himself and write in his note book.
"You're late, take a seat on the steps and try to make it to my class on time. The theater waits for no one." Glo spoke up as Troye watched the same boy from his math class come and sit next to him on the steps. The boy sat directly next to him and Troye rolled his eyes before he shifted one step lower so that the boy sat slightly above him. Even though Troye was close to the other boy neither of them spoke a word. Troye sat silently scribbling the next lines of his latest poem in this note book, until he hit a writers block and was unable to think of the next line. Troye closed the note book with a huff and began to let his eyes wander
Glo was going on and on dramatically about the 'Rules of the Drama Room" as Troyes eyes landed on the shoes of the boy text to him. They were the same shoes that he watched walk out of the bathroom not even 30 minutes ago. But surely this could be the same person, plenty of people wear Vans especially black ones. It couldn't be the same person. This boy sitting next to him looked like he was wrapped in mystery. He had beautiful mint hair that was styled to perfection. He wore a beautiful smile on his face but Troye couldn't help but think about how the boy looked like he needed to be hugged till all his pieces came together. Troye also thought about how he would not mind being the person to do so. Troye turned to glance at the boy again and flashed a quick smile just out of kindness. After all just because someone smiles does not mean that they are happy.
Troye couldn't help but wonder about the boy sitting next to him. Troye was still gazing in the boy's direction as he looked up to meet Troye's eyes. Troye was taken back again by the boys eyes. The boy seemed like the perfect disaster he was too beautiful to look away from. The boy flashed Troye a quick smile before he looked back down at his phone.
