-time skip 1 month- (I know its a long time)
Troye and Tyler walked into the diner and Tyler took his usual seat at the end of the counter next to the wall as Troye tied his apron around his waist. Tyler pulled his math book out and read a few of the problems as Troye placed his chicken salad sandwich in front of Tyler and picked up one of the halves and took a bite. "Kso youmve gotta mmdivide.." Tyler let out a laugh as Troye tried to explain the math concept with his mouth full. "I can't understand a word you're saying Troye" Tyler laughed
Troye finished what was in his mouth and giggled moving again to explain the math concept. Tyler tried his best to listen as Troye explained what ever Vertex Operator Algebra was. The words were floating around but Tyler wasn't absorbing them, all he could pay attention to was the movement of Troye's lips. The plump pink lips that moved slowly as Troye explained some concept that Tyler didn't care about.
"Tyler..TY!" Troye snapped his fingers in front of Tyler's face and Troye smiled "Tilly you can't learn it if you don't listen" Troye said blushing, knowing full well that Tyler was staring at him the whole time.
Tyler pulled his bottom lip between his teeth as Troye continued to giggle and walk away taking the order of another costumer sitting a few seats down. Tyler's heart was beating quickly in his chest, a ridiculous smile plastered on his face. Tyler was not used to this feeling, he never felt it before. He hadn't been in a relationship or had feelings for another person since Beth. A time in Tyler's life were he was being told that he wasn't gay, a time when he settled for calling himself bisexual. Now more than ever Tyler was questioning that, challenging that.
He was supposed to feel love when he was with Beth, but he didn't feel anything. Now with Troye, he felt something...he could' figure out what, but it was something. A feeling that felt like butterflies in his stomach and a pounding in his heart. Troye accepted him and cared for him, encouraged him and told him he was beautiful and that experience was priceless.

Troye and Tyler sat criss cross facing each other playing on their phones in Troye's quiet apartment as music lulled softly in the background. Tyler scrolled down the music playlist choosing a Lana Del Ray song before returning his attention to his phone still distracted by the thoughts in his head. Every once and a while Tyler would glance up and Troye who was in his own little world. Tyler's head always felt like a mess, he couldn't remember the last time he slept through the whole night but none of that seemed to matter when he was with Troye. Maybe Tyler didn't have it all figured out but Troye didn't seem to care, he accepted that.
-Flash back-
"Beth its just, I think..I...might be gay" Tyler whispered as he and Beth stood on the empty bleachers after the football game
"haha real funny Mathew" Beth said getting off the bleachers grabbing onto Tyler's wrist so he would follow
"I-I'm not being funny" Tyler said trying to sound firm but his voice still meek
"You" Beth said firmly pressing a finger into his chest "are NOT a fag, get it out of your head" she snapped turning again to walk down the stairs
"I will not be the girl dating the fat fag, get you shit together Mathew and stop being ridiculous" Beth finished still tugging Tyler along harshly
-End Flashback-
"Troye" Tyler said shaking the past from his mind, Troye would never do that...right?
"Yeah Ty?" Troye said looking up at him, the sparkle in Troye's eyes was priceless as he gazed at Tyler. Suddenly a deep blush rushed up Tyler's face and he looked down at his lap and smiled trying not to break out into a fit of laughter over how deeply that look affected him.
