A/N- ;) yell at me as much as you want
—next day—
Tyler sat up in his bed, his laptop still open and Troye's sleeping face on the screen. Troye refused to come to Tyler's last night claiming that he needed time to himself. Tyler agreed with the one speculation that Troye Skyped him so that Tyler knew that he was okay. Tyler was worried because Troye also insisted on going to work yesterday even though Tyler said he should go home. They talked for a while and had separated Tumblr time via Skype until Troye fell asleep at 8:30, one of the many side effects of his panic attack and medication.
Tyler sighed he was going to see Troye in a few hours, they were heading to the Recreation Center to play video games and Troye mentioned the center offered art activities and had a mini spa. Tyler smiled, this was going to be a great spring break. Much better to last year's spring break when he sheltered himself in his room.
"Ty" Jackie's voice broke into the room and Tyler shifted his gaze from the sleeping Troye to his mother. "Yeah" Tyler answering muting the computer so that Troye was not disturbed
"I was just wondering if you had made plans with Troye, he told me a few weeks ago about his family living in Australia and I just want to make sure he's not alone" Jackie said, she didn't want to encroach upon Troye and Tyler's business but she needed to make sure that Troye was safe. He was like another child to her.
Tyler was shocked, Troye told her? When? Where was Tyler when it happened? Even though he was confused he was glad that Troye trusted his mom, it was nice to have a best friend again. "Yeah mom we are going to hang at his apartment later" Tyler said with a smile glancing back down at his computer to see that Troye was still sleeping in front of the camera.
Jackie walked over and peered around the screen, looking at Troye's peaceful features. She smirked at Tyler and giggled. "You two are too much" Jackie laughed and Tyler rolled his eyes "He looks like a little kitten" Jackie continued as she walked out of Tylers room
"You are so embarrassing" Tyler groaned, extremely thankful that he muted the video call. Tyler unmuted the sound just as Troye took a breath in and shifted on his pillow, moving his curls so they sat haphazardly on his forehead. Troye snored quietly twice and Tyler couldn't help but giggle
"Told you you snored" Tyler whispered with a smile
——
"All I am saying is that they could offer more than just art and craft activities" Troye said gazing at the activity board in the Rec Center. Tyler looked over the listing of choices, they all seemed fun to him.
"We're gettin' crafty" Tyler said shrugging his shoulders in a sassy demeanor. Troye rolled his eyes and bumped his hips into Tyler's
"Fine." Troye said "Easel painting, pottery, or tie dying"
Tyler beamed looking at him "Why choose? go big or go home" Tyler said
Troye laughed and pulled Tyler into the room for Easel painting. The two boys sat side by side as the instructor stood at the front of the room. She instructed the class to paint whatever they desired, which was stupid because why was she getting paid to stand there. Troye dipped his brush in the paint. He moved the bush in even movements across the surface. He moved between reds and blues and pinks, creating a sun set, much like the ones he would observe at home. Troye pushed the unwanted nostalgia away glancing at Tyler who was hard at work. Troye lifted the brush covered in red paint and spread in onto Tyler's cheek.
"TROYESIVAN" Tyler yelped when he realized that his friend had wiped paint on his face. "Rude" Tyler said.
Troye's sweet laugh filled Tyler's ears, "What I was just starting with a nice red base" Troye said sweetly
"It's not like I got it on your hat or something" Troye added
"If you got it on my hat I would end you" Tyler said but Troye laughed knowing that in reality Tyler wouldn't touch a curl on his head
The boys settled their laughter and the painting instructor collected their paintings. She told the boys that once the canvases were dried they would be dropped off at Troye's apartment. Troye walked out of the room surprised when he felt Tyler clasp their hands together, their fingers interlaced swinging between their bodies. Troye blushed and he tried to push his smile down, but it was pointless because the smile didn't dissipate.
——
Tyler struggled to catch is breath, Troye still holding his stomach as they laughed until they couldn't breath. Tyler gripped the edge of the counter in Troye's kitchen holding himself so that he didn't tumble off in his fit of laughter. Troye placed his hands on the counter holding him self up as he laughed. Suddenly Troye placed his other hand on the counter, knocking over the open glass of water. The cup spilled covering Tyler in water. Tyler gasped in shock before picking up his laughter again.
"Oh my god I'm gonna pee!" Troye exclaimed running off the the bathroom, Tyler's cackle filling the usually quiet apartment.
Moments later Troye reappeared from the bathroom and Tyler was calmed down from his laughter fit. Troye brought Tyler out a change of clothes apologizing for spilling water on Tyler. Tyler giggling, he didn't even care because he and Troye were having a great day. After so many bad days today was a breath of fresh air.
"I don't understand why that was so funny" Tyler said still giggling holding the pile of Troye's clothes Troye turned and glared at him
"You pointed to my pathetic pottery and said that it was your favorite pot" Troye giggled Tyler felt a smiling creeping onto his face "We were making art, its beautiful" he said "You coordinated all the right colors and it was fun"
Troye laughed again shoving Tyler lightly towards the bathroom so that he could change is wet clothes.
