A/N: Okay guys, there has been a huge mistake on my part. As was recently pointed out to me part of this chapter was (quite literally) the same as one of conbontroyeboy one shots, it was completely unintentional and it was my mistake, I would never intentionally have written it to be that way. I pride myself on using my own ideas and so I have fixed the chapter and this is the fixed version. Like I said it was completely unintentional and I apologize to Abbie and everyone else, taking someone else work and not giving them credit is horrible and I never meant to do such a thing. I take full responsibility for this mistake and I also want to thank the people who brought it to my attention. Once again I'm sorry for any hurt feelings, and we are going to move forward with the story from here. Okay bye love bugs, also I added a bit about them at homecoming.

By some twist of fate, happy would be the word that Troye used to describe himself right now. Tyler also most of the time, he was having a few flashes of body image issues but he was no longer identified as having an active eating disorder. He ate meals with everyone and he stopped purging. He was on the right track, his mind didn't always see it that way sometimes because of Beth's harmful words years ago, but he was still doing his best.
Tonight was homecoming and both boys were genuinely excited to attend. The had matching bow ties and Jackie went out to get them matching boutonnieres, they went with a purple theme, it wasn't too dark but it wasn't too light either, Troye fell in love with the color right away.
Troye was just pulling into the driveway in Tyler's car, he had to run to his apartment to grab some things that he needed for the dance. So Tyler stood in the walk in closet mulling over his last minute outfit choices.
Tyler watched himself in the mirror after taking of his shirt to grab the crisp new white one, looking over his blotchy skin and the new lumps he believe formed on his body, he wished so deeply that he could see what Troye said he saw, but he didn't. He was fat, all the food he was eating was stored in his body crushing all the hard work he did.
He turned his body to the side, looking again at the refection that made him sick. He had distinct stretch marks on his stomach and thighs from where he gained all his weight. What Tyler wasn't understanding, however, was how his weight gain was the healthy kind. He was going from frail and malnourished to healthy, but he didn't see it that way.
He saw that having to get a medium size pair of pants was much worse than having to get a small like he usually did, he hated that. He hated how all his clothing was getting a bit too tight in all the wrong places, over his stomach and arms especially. Where the material was once lose it was now almost skin tight. Troye say it was an opportunity for a shopping trip, Tyler found it detrimental.
"Tyler?" Troye called breaking the boy from his daze in the mirror, his eyes were sad, he wasn't crying per say but there wasn't the usual sparkle that they held. "Hi" Tyler breathed quietly tears now rushing to his eyes as Troye looked at him concerned.
"W-What were you doing?" Troye asked taking a few steps into the walk in closet. Tyler was at a loss for words because, what was he doing?
He was tearing himself down, again, because he didn't see what everyone else saw. He saw a twisted version of his body in the mirror, one much like a funhouse mirror that distorts the image for a comedic effect. He saw large hips and a plump stomach, he saw chubby arms and jiggly thighs. He wanted to be thin just like everyone else.
"Nothing, just getting ready" Tyler said avoiding Troye's eyes contact and trying to steer his mind away from the hole it fell into. He was so frustrated that the simple act of looking in the mirror caused all this. Now the toxic ideas were circling his mind and he wanted nothing but to given into them. He wasn't a very strong person, at least to the voices in his head.
