17- It's Original

I jumped around with my 4 year old niece, Lucy, in the trampoline park. We jumped near the trampoline dodgeball zone but just before the line.

The park was full of teenage boys and little children bouncing about going wild and having a lot of fun.

"Watch out" someone shouted. I turned behind me and a dodgeball flew past and hit Lucy in the head. She started to cry and I quickly bent down and embraced her in a hug soothing her whilst running my hand through her hair. "Oh my god I'm so sorry" a boy around my age said rushing over and bending down next to me. He was rather attractive but I was still pisses at him for hitting my niece in the face with a dodgeball.

"It's fine" I huffed. I was in no mood to shout and I didn't want to upset Lucy anymore.

"Are you sure it was a pretty hard th-"

"It's fine" I shouted a little bit as Lucy pulled away and stared at the boy. He smiled at her and she smiled back giggling a little.

"I'm very sorry I hit you" he said. She nodded. "I didn't mean to but I like your bow" he said referring to the pink little bow that was placed in her hair.

"Thank you my auntie y/n did it for me and my name is Lucy" he looked over to me and smiled.

"Hello Lucy, how about later I take you and your auntie y/n to get some ice cream and pizza?" She nodded repeated and he chuckled.

"Is that okay with you?" He questioned standing up straight. I picked up Lucy.

"I guess" I said.

"Good, I'll meet you at the door in about 20 minutes?" I nodded. "Okay, I'll see you later y/n and you too Lucy" he winked, grabbing the ball before heading off back to his friends.

"Remember how we first met" Shawn chuckled looking over at my- now 11 years old- niece.

"I do" she shouted. "You hit me in the face with a dodgeball"

"Oh yeah, that was so mean" I said furrowing my eyebrows.

"But-"

"But, you made it better by buying us pizza and ice cream afterward" I rolled my eyes leaning my head onto his shoulder.

"Exactly" he said smirking. "And now where about to have our first baby" he placed his hand onto my ever growing stomach and rubbed. "Isn't that a weird way to start a relationship?"

"Nope, it was original" I smiled kissing his lips. "ew, gross" Lucy scolded.
