I sat patiently waiting for someone to offer me a dance. A new girl leaving me alone as a boy swept her off of her feet until I was the only one left.

It's never usually like this. Ever since Matt left there was no one to go to homecoming with, no one to dance with and no one even took an interest in me anymore. It sucks.

My eyes gently searched the crowd watching the popular girls dressed in their beautiful dresses with their beautiful hair and beautiful faces and the perfect body to match as they danced with the perfect boy. Shawn. Oh Shawn, he was every girls dream.

The way his eyes complemented his hair, that soft gentle smirk that played on his lips and a voice that would melt any girls heart in milliseconds. The way his eyes crinkle when he laughs or the way he bites his lip when he concentrates on something.

He glanced over and smiled making me blush beyond belief and my heart skip a beat before he soon started to make his way over. Shit. I quickly fixed my hair and he sat down on the cold empty seat next to me.

"Hey y/n" he smiled.

"Hi Shawn" I smiled back.

"I noticed you were alone"

"Yeah" I shrugged.

"Maybe you want to dance?" My eyes lit up as did his when I accepted. He stood up placing out his hand grasping on to mine pulling me swiftly onto the dance floor pulling me closer towards his as I placed my arms around his neck.

So long for being a wallflower.

I didn't like this that much but let me know
