"I don't know" I mumbled as I walked down the corridor with my bestfriend. "Something about Valentine's Day just doesn't appeal to me. I mean if you love someone you should shower them with gifts and compliments all day everyday not just today" she shrugged as she looked at her cuticle examining them carefully.
"You're probably just missing Shawn that's why you're not in the spirit" I let out a sigh.
"I guess" she smiled before hugging me and running of towards her locker whilst I headed to the parking lot.
A bunch of people formed a small circle in front of my car. A few familiar faces a few not so familiar faces. I rooted for my keys before heading a little closer to my car.
"What's going on?" my voice trailed of as I realised who was knelt on the floor in front of me. "Shawn!" I yelled as he stood up. I jumped into his arms and we stayed there for a while as he whispered sweet nothings into my ear.
"Happy Valentine's Day baby" he smiled handing me the small bouquet of flowers he was holding. "I missed you"
"I missed you too" I cried. He quickly wiped my tears before placing a kiss on my lips. The group of people had disappeared leaving us in private.
"Come on we don't want to miss our date" he smiled.
