I pulled my back pack onto my shoulder and pulled at the brass knob revealing the bright blue sky's dotted with white fluffy clouds. I quickly grasped my phone before shutting the door behind me. I a headed out of my front garden and looked over to Shawn who was talking to his mom.
Me and Shawn have walked to school together since the 6th Grade do it was kind of a usual routine. Me always being out before him but today he was put speaking to his mom. They didn't notice me so I just headed over towards them.
Shawn's mom pulled him into a hug and planted a kiss on his cheek making him grimace a little and pull away. She fixed his shirt and he smacked her hand away a little as she chuckled.
I smiled at the sight and Shawn turned around to walk to me his eyes widening as he noticed me. He turned a light shade of pink before quickly turning into the main road. I quickly waved goodbye to Shawn's mom before running to catch up.
"Don't get embarrassed. There's nothing wrong with being a mommy's boy" I chuckled pinching his cheek.
