  You had met Patrick about a week ago when you accidentally ran into him while walking home from work. You exchanged numbers and he asked you out on a date which you are super excited about. He told you dress casual so you put on dark wash skinny jeans with a sweater and scarf. You put your hair in a loose french braid and then put on your boots. There was a knock on your apartment door so you checked how you looked one last time before getting the door. You opened it and saw Patrick waiting. "Hey Patrick." "Hey Riley you look beautiful." Your cheeks went pink. "Thank you. You look handsome." He smiled. "These are for you." He pulled out a bouquet of pink roses. "Aw thank you these are beautiful. Come on in." You took the flowers and went to the kitchen and put them in a vase of water. "Ready to go?" He asked. "Yeah let's go." You locked the door behind you and followed him out to his truck. He opened the door and helped you in before going around and getting in himself. "So where are we going?" "It's a surprise." "Please tell me." You said giving him puppy dog eyes. "Nope. It's not far I promise." "Alright." It was only about a 10 minute drive and you were at Navy Pier. "Oh I love it here." You said like a kid in a candy store. Pat got out and ran around to get your door and help you out. "Such a gentleman aren't you Mr. Kane." "Only for beautiful ladies like you." You blushed and giggled. Pat bought two tickets even though you tried to pay he wasn't having it. You guys went around and played a ton of games. "Alright I'm gonna win this one." "You said that last time and the time before that and the one before that too." "Yeah yeah yeah." You laughed as he paid the guys again and he finally won and knocked all the bottles down. "I told you I'd win." "I had total faith in you." He told the vendor which animal he wanted and then gave it to you. "For my wonderful date." He handed you the bunny. "Thank you. I love it." You said kissing his cheek. "You're very welcome. Would you care to join me for some ice cream?" "I would love to." You both smiled and walked to the ice cream stand. "What can I get you today?" The little old lady asked us. "Can I get a small strawberry cone please?" I asked. "And Can I get a small chocolate cone please?" "Of course." She got the cones. "How much?" "It's on me tonight." "No please." "Nope a young couple like yourselves deserve a little treat." "Thank you so much." You said thanking her and Pat did the same. You guys sat down and ate your ice cream and fireworks started going off. Pat leaned in and next thing you know your lips are against his and you kiss back. It was...magical. You both pulled away. "Your lips taste like chocolate." You said with a giggle. He chuckled and kissed you again. "Your lips taste like strawberry." He said with a smile and you laughed and you rested your head against his chest and he put an arm around you as watched the fireworks. "Riley I really want you to be my girlfriend but I want you to meet someone first." "Alright." 

He drove you guys back to his apartment and you followed him in. "Pat your back! Oh who's this?" "My date Riley, Riley this is Jonny. Is Ella sleeping?" "No she's in the other room with Lindsey." Pat took your hand and you followed him. There you saw whom you're guessing is Lindsey holding a baby no older than a few months. "Hey Lindsey, I can take her now, thank you guys for watching her." "She's an angel, no worries. This must be Riley." "That's me." "Nice to meet you I'm Lindsey, Jonny's girlfriend." "It's nice to meet you too." "Hopefully I'll see you soon." "Yeah." She left and you heard the door close signalling that they left. "Riley, I want you to meet my daughter Ella." Pat said turning to you and passed you the baby. "Aw she's so cute, how old is she?" "4 months." She opened her eyes and she had the same baby blue color as Pat. "I understand if you want to leave now..." "Pat, I'm not going to leave just because you have a daughter. Why were you so afraid to tell me?" "I didn't know how you would take it. You are the first girl I've really liked since my ex and Ella's mom left." "I promise I won't leave. I personally think she is the cutest baby I've ever seen." Pat looked so relieved. You went over and gently placed your lips on his and he kissed back. "Will you be my girlfriend?" "Of course."
