Jason Demers (Dallas)

 You had some amazing news for Jason, news that the two of you had been waiting for, for quite a while. You were pregnant. Jason has wanted to be a dad for so long, which is why he always watches teammates kids and now he would have his own. Jason has been a bit down lately since his shoulder injury and he just wants to be out on the ice helping his teammates out. For the first two weeks the staff wouldn't even let him in the building since they didn't want him tempted to play and get hurt more. He is finally back to skating and is so close to getting back into the game. You know that he was excited this morning due to the fact he was going to an actual team practice although he's no contact he's still excited because he know's it's one step closer. While he's gone you have to figure out the best way to tell him he's going to be an actual daddy. This is gonna be a bit difficult because everyone knows who you are, downside to being married to a pro athlete. Oh well.

You decided to surprise Jason at the rink. But first you set up your announcement. You had a custom Stars jersey made that says Daddy on the back with a number 4 since that's Jason's number. You also had a small box with two cupcakes one with pink frosting, one with blue frosting and a paper taped to the lid that says, "You're gonna be a daddy!!" You placed the jersey on top of the box and then you had little baby hockey skates that went on top of that. You left it all in his cubby area and then went out to the ice to say hi to everyone. "Yo Demers, I found your wife!" Tyler yelled since he saw you first. Jason skated over and gave you a kiss. "What are you doing here?" "I wanted to visit my husband at work." "Okay, I'm not complaining, I get to see your beautiful face." "Aren't you cheesy." He chuckled and gave you one last kiss before skating off to do his work. All the other guys said hello to you as they skated past the bench or came to get some water. "You aren't here just to visit, are you?" Tyler asked. "Nope I have a surprise for him, in the locker room." "Always so sneaky Mrs. Demers." "That still sounds so weird." "You're gonna have to get used to it, you can't change it now." "Thank you genius. When are you gotta put a ring on your girl's finger?" "If we win the cup, then. If we don't, on vacation some time. I'm not positive yet." "Look at you Mr. Seguin, getting tied down." "Yeah yeah, you're so mean to me." "Oops." "You are like the older sister I've never wanted." "Oh shut your trap, you love me." "Never in a million years." You both laughed at the relationship you had, boy was it a weird one.

Once practice was over you got super nervous, but were also excited to see his reaction. You went to the locker room with Jason but stood by the doorway so you weren't in the way. Jason went to his cubby and saw the gift. He looked super confused and so did all the other guys, and they all looked at you. "Keep going." Jason moved the skates and picked up the jersey and unfolded it and read the back and I saw a smile form on his face and he opened the box and read the note. "I'm gonna be a dad!!!!" He yelled and all the cheered. He practically ran to you and hugged, kissed, and spun you around. "I love you so much." "I love you too." "You have just made me the happiest man on the face of the planet." "I'm glad I could be of assistance." You both smiled and he gave you another soft kiss.
