"Baby, I home!" Geno yelled as he walked through the door into the house. "Living room!" You called back to him. He came in and gave you a soft kiss on the lips and then another kiss on your very large eight month pregnant stomach. "How are my favorite girls?" "We are okay, she likes kicking me in the ribs." "She no want mama to forget her." "Yeah I'm sure because the huge stomach and awful back pain weren't reminders enough." Geno let out a laugh. "I home so I do whatever you need." "I could use a cuddle?" "Sound good to me." He sat down next to you on the couch and you curled up into his side. His arm was draped around you and his big hand rested on your stomach. The baby kicked right where is hand was which made him smile. "Hello to you too princess."
After a few movies, you both decided to order some dinner. You stood up and felt a sharp pain run through your stomach. "What's wrong?" Geno asked noticing the slight distress. "I'm okay don't worry." "Be careful." "I know I am." You went to the kitchen and talked about what to order and another sharp pain hit you. "What's wrong? No lie." "I don't know." "Doctor then." He went and grabbed the baby bag and then drove to the hospital. The nurse immediately took you up to a room. The doctor then came in and ran all the basic tests. "Well Mrs. Malkin, you appear to be in labor. However, it could be a long time until the baby is here." "Thank you doctor." "No worries, I will come by in a bit to check in." She left the room and Geno held your hand.
It was pain a painful 13 hours of labor and your baby was still not here. In that time Geno's parents have arrived from Russia and your family has also flown in from North Carolina. This is honestly the most painful thing that you have ever been through. "She here soon." Geno said placing a kiss on your head.
It took an additional an hour before the room was filled with the cries of your newborn baby girl. You couldn't be happier that she was finally here. "She here." Geno whispered. "Yeah she's finally here." The nurse came over and placed the little pink blanket in your arms. "Your little girl looks healthy. She was 6 lbs 9 oz, and 19 inches long." The nurse said and then eventually they all left and family came in. Geno handed the baby to his mom who's eyes immediately filled with tears. "Beautiful." Was the only thing she could get out. "What's her name?" Your older brother asked. "Elena Rose Malkin." "She is absolutely beautiful.
