Today is a huge game between the Chicago Blackhawks and the St. Louis Blues. It is one of the biggest rivalries in the NHL and your boyfriend Artemi is definitely feeling the pressure. As one of the top rookies this season, each game that goes by more pressure is put on him to perform. However you have absolute full confidence in him that he can do it.
You were sitting up in the box with the other girlfriends waiting for the boys to come out for warm ups. The door to the box swung open pausing all of the conversations that were going on. You and all the girls turned and saw Kaner standing there in full gear breathing heavily so he clearly ran up here. We couldn't help but chuckle. He grabbed your arm and pulled you out of the box and towards the locker room.
"Patrick Kane what the hell?"
"Sorry, but Artemi is freaking out like nearly a full blown panic attack and nothing we are doing is working. So we needed you." He continued to pull you towards the locker room and when you got there everyone else was relieved. You went over to Artemi and bent down in front of him since he was sitting on the bench.
"Babe, look at me." His eyes met yours. "Take a deep breath, what's wrong?"
"I not want to mess up and team be mad." He almost looks like he was about to cry.
"Babe you are going to be fine, perfect even. You are an amazing hockey player and nothing can change that. These guys love you no matter what. Even if you make a few mistakes none of us are going to be mad or angry with you because that's how life goes. You are going to be fine." He pulled you in for a hug.
"I love you," he whispered in your ear.
"I love you too." You kissed and then they went to start the game.
