(Tyler's POV)

Girl I know that you've been waiting and talking to your friends

Wondering if and wondering where and wondering when

I walked through the door after a long practice. I walked into the kitchen and heard my beautiful girlfriend of 4 years talking on the phone. "I know. We've talked about it before. He knows that I love him and if he got on one knee I would say yes. He made it seem like he was on board with the idea of getting married but I don't know if he wants to."

Well I've been waiting too, holding on to this ring

For the right words to say, for the right time and place, for me to get on one knee

She talks to her friends about it all the time, but she doesn't know that I have a ring. I've had a ring for a while. I dragged Jamie to a store with me one day when we were on the road and I found the perfect ring and I knew she would love it. I am just waiting for an opportunity to make the moment one of a kind. With my constant travel and her always working, it's hard to find time to get away for a bit. But when it happens, it will be unforgettable.

This is it, this is now, this is what I've been talking about

We finally both have a day off so we are going for a hike at one of the state parks that was about two hours or so away from where we lived. I have the ring, and I know she's not expecting it so it'll be fun to surprise her.

We finally got to the top of the mountain and I knew it was time. I took her hand and we stood together looking at the view. While she was in awe of the view. I was in awe of her. I let go of her hand and got down on one knee. She turned around and gasped.

Looking out, can't you see forever?

Take my hand, just take it in

This is a moment we won't forget

On top of the world here together

"I have spent weeks trying to figure out how I wanted this moment to go, and I realized that the small details didn't matter because right now we are on top of the world. I look out into the distance and I think of the future and my future has you in it, forever. I have never been so sure of anything in my life. I want you, I want us. You mean everything and more to me. Will you marry me?"

If there ever was a time for a perfect kiss, well this is it

This is it

She nodded her head, tears of joy falling, as she couldn't get the words out. I slipped the ring on her finger and stood up. I pulled her into my arms and we kissed. In the moment it was just us and it was perfect. There is nothing in the world that could have ruined that moment. This is it, it exceeded all expectations. It was the start of a new chapter and it was perfect. I got the girl.
