ANDRE'S POV
I didn't want to leave. I didn't want to leave her. I sat in the bed of my hotel room with tears falling at a steady pace. My phone started ringing so I grabbed it and saw it was Latts. "Hello?" "What the hell?" I stayed quiet. "Why the hell would you do that to Maddie?!" "I didn't have a choice." "No choice?! Andre you always have a choice!!" "I'm sorry." "What?" "I said I'm sorry. I know exactly what I did and I fucking hate myself for it." "Then why the hell did you do it?" "Because I didn't have a choice. I was told that I would never step foot on the ice again unless I broke up with her." "Who told you that?" "That's not important. She trusted me with everything. I promised her I would never hurt her. But that's all I did and I hate myself for it. She's means everything to me. I had the ring and everything but I guess it's too late now she'll never take me back." "You had a ring?" "Yeah yeah I did." "Where are you?" "Hershey." "They sent you down again?" "Yeah..." "I'm sorry Andre." "Don't be it's not your fault just please look out for Maddie for me." "Yeah but listen, don't let whoever that person was rule you." He hung up and I tossed the phone next to me and picked up the ring and just stared at it for a while.

YOUR POV
You sank to the floor and sobbed. You wanted to know why Andre did what he did. You wanted to know why he promised not to hurt you but did any way. You had felt as though you heart has shattered into millions of little pieces. There was another knock on the door so you pulled yourself up and answered it. It was Latta and he didn't say anything he just pulled you into a hug. "Shhhh it'll be okay." "Why did he leave? Was I not enough?" "Maddie listen, I talked to Andre not even 5 minutes ago. He loves you more than anything he was sent back to Hershey." "So that's why he left?" "That's part of it, I think you should call him and here the rest of the story. But I can promise you, hurting you was the last thing he wanted to do." "Okay I'll call him." "Smart girl. Love you Mads you'll figure this out." "Love you too Latts thank you." "No problem." You hugged one last time before he left and You went to find my phone. But before you could you saw a shimmer in the corner of your eye and you saw your ring. You picked it up and put it back on.    Your phone started ringing so you practically ran to grab it, "Hello?" You asked. "Maddie? It's Andre." "Andre..." "Look I'm sorry, I'm so so so sorry I never wanted to hurt you." He was sobbing, and he never cries. "Then why did you?" Tears filled your eyes again because it hurt you to hear him cry but also because you didn't know if you were prepared to hear the answer you would get. "I thought that I was doing the right thing and then I realized how absolutely selfish I was being. The Caps GM, he was talking to me and he said that if I didn't break up with you that I would never set foot on the ice again. You know how much the NHL means to me but after I left I realized that you mean more to me than anything else in world. I don't care if I never play again, I just want you in my life because you're the only thing I need. I'm sorry Maddie. I love you so much." You had no idea what to say, the tears were flowing down your cheeks. "Mad, I'm sorry." He was crying too. "No no, you have nothing to be sorry for. I understand the situation you're in. I want you to live your dream, if that means we can't be together then so be it. I... I want you to be happy and I know that hockey makes you happy." "But hockey only makes me happy because I have you there with me. I'm not letting him keep you out of my life, I don't about what happens. I need you in my life." "I love you Andre."
