Patrick Kane (Chicago Blackhawks)

It is time for the World Cup of Hockey and your husband Patrick is playing for the United States. After an early exit in the playoffs he's been super excited to get started. He's been away in Columbus training but the tournament is in Toronto so you and your two year old daughter Julianna are flying out there to watch Patrick. Julia is super excited and absolutely loves to watch her dad play. "Mama! We see daddy!" "Yes princess we are going to see daddy." "Nana!" She ran over to Pat's mom who is making the trip up with you. "We gotta go see your daddy." Julia was laughing and you finished putting all the bags and stuff in the car. "Ready to go?" "Yeah!" Julia ran to the car and you strapped her into her car seat and gave her your iPad so she could play games. Donna was in the passenger seat and you got in the driver's seat and were off.

It took about 3 hours before you guys arrived at the hotel. All the teams were staying in the same hotel but Pat said we were staying with him in his room and Donna has a room on the same floor. She got her room key and then we all went up to the eighth floor. She went to her room and you went to your room. "Daddy daddy!" "In a minute baby girl." You got the the room and unlocked the door and Julia ran in and jumped on Pat who was laying in bed. "Hello baby girl." "Love daddy." "I love you too." He kissed her head and you went over and kissed as well which resulted and a disgusted face by Jule. "How about we go for a walk around the city?" "Sounds good." He quickly changed and then you all left. The city itself was beautiful. "Uncle Jon!" She saw Jonathan walking around with some of the Team Canada guys, one of them being your brother Patrice Bergeron. "Uncle Trice!" She ran over and hugged them. "Hey little bug." Patrice picked her up and gave her a kiss on the head. Pat and Jon did a weird handshake thing and You gave Patrice a hug. "How have you been?" He asked. "Good, she keeps me on my toes. How is Zach? He's gonna be one." "He's awesome. They should be here later tonight." "Alright I'll make sure I see them."

The first game came around and Julia is wearing her number 88 USA jersey that says daddy on the back. She was practically jumping around the hotel room. "Princess calm down we are gonna leave in a minute." "I see daddy!!!" "Yes we are gonna go see daddy." Once you finished getting ready, you grabbed your purse and then went down to the lobby where Lauren Oshie and her daughters were. "Hey Laur!" "Hey! Ready to go?" "Yup let's go." You got them all in the car and off to the rink.

You guys had seats against the glass so the girls were right up against it as the guys came out. Pat came over and put his hand on the glass and Julia copied. It was been their ritual every game for pretty much the last two years. You blew him a kiss and they got ready to play. You had Julia sit on your lap just in case they hit the boards there.

Every time Pat had the puck Julia would cheer and you could see he could tell, and every time something didn't go his way he would look to you guys for reassurance. The last thing you want his him thinking he let you down. They were already down 3-0 and the game was coming to a close so you knew Pat would be upset but so would Julia and that always made Pat feel worse. "Mama? Daddy lose?" "Yeah baby girl." Tears welled in her eyes and you tried to calm her down. Lyla was also upset and Lauren was calming her down. The final buzzer went off and the guys went to the locker room so you gathered everything up and went back there. Pat was one of the first ones out and Julia ran to him and he squatted down to catch her in his arms. There were a lot of awes which was cute and you did take a picture since it was a nice moment. He stood up with her in his arms and you went over and gave him a kiss. "Good job." "We sucked." "Don't think like that." "I'm sorry." "It's okay get on the bus we'll meet you there." "Okay." You took Julia and went to the car with Lauren and Lyla and drove to the hotel. You got to the room and got both of you ready for bed. Pat came back and Julia was already fast asleep so he got changed and then curled up in bed with you. "I love you thank you for being here." "Wouldn't dream of being anywhere else. I love you." You kissed and both of you joined Julia in dream world.
