How I crave to be held by you,
your hand caress my cheek,
your fingers play with my hair,
your arms around my waist, holding me close and kissing me.
Yet at the same time, it makes me so uncomfortable--
never have I received affection like this before.
How strangely wonderful it feels.
But, do I deserve it?
I love your touch,
feeling your arms around me,
being kissed by you,
laying next to you,
but it seems so unnatural at the same time--
does that make sense?
I want more, so much more,
yet I'm also scared (so very scared).
Everything about us is so new to me,
but not to you.
You've been with others before--
before us,
before me.
No, my darling, I'm not envious.
But sometimes I feel foolish for being so new--
new to this love game,
new to so many things that you've long since experienced.
Please, darling, don't feel bad--
affection and I have a love/hate history.
Can you still love me, even after learning this?
Will you still stay with me?
Please stay, my dear--
stay and love me.
This I promise you:
I will not stop loving you,
even though I can't love me.
